    Alexa could never control my lights light the Google home system. I can give Alexa a command one and the same command a minute later and she wouldn't understand. Google is the way to go.

    Alexa overall is great, but this speaker can't play music if I ask. It can still play if I go through spotify on my phone... but I can't ask alexa to do it.

    remember when shopping for amazon echo devices, they all can do same thing as far as commands and asking it questions, its alexa across the board, difference is speaker size built in and power, the bigger your room the bigger the speaker you should get. this echo dot, no matter what generation, is best for small rooms or bedrooms..etc.
