this is the 4th one I've purchased and works well with smart bulbs (turn lights on and off with voice commands) as well as acts as a blue tooth speaker to play music from your phone, or just use the many skills (apps) to play games, learn facts, check the news or weather, create shopping lists and more.

I'm glad I received this for free. I wish the speaker volume was louder. Also, the skills aren't really that helpful on this model. I'd recommend this to someone with Amazon Music.

I had also purchased the Google assistant system and found the echo to be a bit more user friendly so I purchased 4 of them. Great item!

It’s ok. I’m not particularly impressed but it’s decent as a freebie we got with a tv purchase.

Speaker on 6/10 lasted almost 3 weeks before getting fuzzy. I would recommend getting separate speakers, but overall the echo Dot was worth it for the price.

I bought this 3rd gen dot to replace an older 3rd gen dot that became slow and hard of hearing over time. I put one of those mounting plates in the ceiling, so had to replace with 3rd gen to fit. Much faster and better hearing so far. I mainly use it to control "smart" appliances, I use better sounding system for music.

We bought 2 for different parts of the house. The update has much better audio quality, and makes a great intercom system. We use all of our Alexa products on a daily basis for quick information, solve trivia questions, timers, announce dinner and even change channels on the tv. Good buy (or should I say "Best Buy")

Alexa, can you??? It is awesome for music, asking the weather, quickly checking a cooking question, have hooked to our smart plus and controlling the Christmas lights was great! The 5 year old even likes asking knock knock jokes and dino jokes! Who doesn't have one?

I bought this for my bff who recently just discovered Alexa and she loves it. She says the sound is perfect for her small apartment.

This one is a little better than the 1St Generation models. Contains a little better speaker and seems to pick up voice a little better.

Works ok sometimes. Alexa doesn’t know how to do a lot. Like turn down the volume or turn off the music

I had an earlier version of this product and the 3rd Gen certainly gives much better sound performance.

The readout will display temp when asking about weather. If you set a timer you can see it count down on the display. I've also noticed slight changes in responses and it keeps up with what you have listened to and not in the flash briefing instead of repeating the entire thing.

The new dot has much better sound quality. Also I love linking the dots throughout the house and streaming music through multiple rooms.

I've purchased multiple of these. For the price, these are the best home assistant devices in my opinion.

Enjoy using this but cannot put them too close together in the house or they pick up on each other. Fun to use and sound is very good.

Honestly I don’t be remembering that I’ve it and when I do it’s mostly to listen to some Music..... was probably an unnecessary purchase

The Amazon Echo Dot 3rd Edition was free with my TV purchase. I haven’t had an opportunity to use it yet as I already had an Echo so unable to rate based on use.

This is our fourth dot. They are well worth it as we have them linked to our ring and lights as well.
