The 3rd Generation is an improvement over its predecessor primarily due to its better speaker quality.

It works great and looks really sleek. I bought two when they recently had a $10 off sale. We use it to turn the lights on and off. My kids think it's fun to ask Alexa questions, tell jokes and sing Happy Birthday. They use it more than me.

This is very handy for a nightstand or bedside table. The sleep sounds mask outside noise...very handy.

I like to verbally ask to play certain type of music and verbally ask to stop the music without moving from my seat.

Its cool i had the echo studio that one was the best sound wise obviously..but this one is cool.

If you want a "smart" speaker you really can't go wrong. Imo they kind of freak me out tho

I guess we like these things. There are now 5 in our house and two Echo Shows. They make it easier to let everyone know when food is ready and for us the nag our children from any room in the house without yelling.

good speaker with Alexa built-in good sound not the best but enough for a bedrrom or bathroom.

This good for whatever you want it to do and all but one day when i came home, I heard it talking when no one was home and just stopped using it since.

I like that the clock is displayed The kids primarily use for music but often ask for weather and etc.

Not my favorite but a great gift for kids who normally don’t have high expectations from tech devices at a young age. This was bought in that regard as I’d never buy one for myself. Buy a HomePod, there’s a reason they are more expensive, the work and sound amazing.

The price for the product was great and it was easy to set it up with my phone. Great sound.

My kids love Alexa because they get to play with her. My 6 year old loves to ask Alexa to play music for him. He is requesting his own Alexa for his room and so is my 19 year old daughter. It's really nice to have an Alexa at home. Now I understand my brothers.

It’s an OK speaker. I’ve already got multiple Google Home speakers in my home but there are certain features that Echo has I wish Google had.

I upgraded to the 2nd Generation. It’s a tad bit larger and the speaker sounds better than the 1st Generation.

My house has a very big open floor plan. I have several of these and they are always bumping heads. Too close together for my floor plan.

I bought this Echo Dot mainly for the clock in the front of the unit and enjoy the sound it emits

Its a nice little speaker that came with a nice fire edition 4k smart tv...so thats nice

I bought this for my friend for Christmas because every time she comes over she plays with mine. Always asking questions and likes the jokes. She loves that it plays what I like.
