These small speakers with mics connect via wifi to the internet and can be used to answer questions, set timers, and control "smart" switches, lights and thermostats in the home using voice. This can also play music, but for extended listening a bigger device such as the full-sized Amazon Echo will sound better.

Very excited to purchase this! I’ve been wanting one for a while so my 3.5 year old can play her songs- finally got it and I’m very satisfied. Alexa responds well to her voice commands and the sound quality is great. We have so much fun w this and I consider it money well spent.

GREAT PRODUCT AT A GREAT PRICE, EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND USE!

My daughter bought this for me as a Christmas gift and I love it! I’m able to set alarms, track Amazon packages, play music, play sleep sounds with easy commands. Volume is really loud and works well for a medium sized room. I’m also able to use as an intercom from another room with my phone which is super convenient. Best Amazon echo yet!

We have had an Echo for over a year but received a Google with a purchase. I put the google on my desk just to try it and I like that it has a lot more personality than the Echo. I wanted another device for my shop area so I picked up another Echo on sale but after a little more time using the Google I returned the unopened Echo when I saw the Google on sale for the same price We still use the Echo to run some of smart home features but I like Google for my desk. I would still recommend an Echo for for smart home devices but Google will be my desktop companion.

I purchased an Echo Dot back in the summer and fell in live with it. Since then, I have purchased four more of them as Christmas gifts. Best Buy had a great offer that allowed me to purchase a smart bulb and plug for just 5.00 each with the purchase of an Echo Dot. I couldn’t pass that deal up. These things are great.

Amazon Alexa is one of my favorites. I have it hooked up to my Hue lights, Fire TV, some smart plugs, and my PS4 and Xbox One X. She is able to learn certain skills where you can tell her to tell a joke, ask questions, quote movies, and many more, The sky's the limit for what this device can do and the speaker is great for a small room.

Awesome, easy to use and great for teens. Plays loud music.

We use this almost everyday. Lots of reminders and random questions get answered on this thing. Its very easy to set up, even for beginners to the tech. If you're interested in getting one of these, remember that internet is required! and I am pretty sure you need to have a smart phone to configure its settings.

Big difference in sound from gen1 to gen2. Looks nicer too.

This is a great device to have in your home. It does everything from answering questions, reading e-mails and calendar appointments, to controlling smart devices in your house. I would recommend pairing this product with a simple compatible smart device such as a plug or light bulbs. This makes this small device very useful.

I really enjoy this product. It does everything i hoped it would and even more. The sound quality of tue speaker is amazing and i love that i can turn the volume up or down by simply asking it to. Its a wonderful alarm clock as well. All in all, im extremely satisfied with this purchase

I wasn’t fond of getting this at first, but I really enjoy it. It’s like having a portable radio that plays your music whatever room you have it in. I have mine in my work shop and came in once and caught Alexa talking to my tv, luckily neither one placed an order while I wasn’t in the room.

I love my echo dot. It is great to have around when I am doing homework and need the answer to a question. I love that I can create my shopping list by telling Alexa what I need when I think of it. It is so easy to set up and use. I recommend getting one for every room in your house.
