    I’m not too impressed with this. We basically just use it as a fancy alarm clock and occasionally music. But if my daughter wants to listen to music at home while I’m at work, one of us has to stop because we can’t be linked at the same time. It’s stupid.

    I downloaded the Alexa app on my cell phone. I can now use the Echo Dot as an intercom from one room to another. I can speak into my cell phone from the living room and my husband can hear me in the bedroom.

    Perfect little Dot for my nightstand, with lighted digital clock. Alexa wakes me when requested, plays my music, tells me jokes, weather, etc. I totally recommend the Echo Dot!

    Much to my surprise Alexa understands the speech of many different people very well. I was expecting an experience similar to siri but Alexa is much smarter and better at hearing and understanding questions.
