This device worked well for the first few weeks , then the speaker started to go out.

I absolutely love my Alexa and can’t wait to start using it more when I get my internet up and running.

You need to subscribe Amazon. Lot of time annoying.

not sure what you would really need this for, got mine for free haven't used it

It is a super great product, a very good product, it has served me well in my home, I suggest it to my friends and family, I give it maximum points.

This is my 3rd echo dot. Unfortunately, the versions after the first generation have been a bit flimsy and have broken for me after 9 months of use. The top "lid" (not supposed to be a lid) has come off of this dot. It still works, but the it's annoying whenever the plastic top comes dislodged.

To my surprise, the performance of this third generation isn’t as good as my second gen. Granted, it can technically go louder and, in theory, DOES have better sound quality. However, the speaker itself keeps peaking/breaking up. And it isn’t a problem that’s linked to the volume, though I do notice it more when I have it at a louder volume. But even at its lowest volume, my music and podcasts will very frequently break up/pixelate. Granted, I got this during a Black Friday sale, so for the price, I maybe shouldn’t complain, but I expect better performance quality from Amazon. I’m incredibly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend.

it's pretty neat but needs some work volume is not great, sound quality is not great

certainly an improvement over 2nd gen echo dot. better bass and like the heather gray on the speakers over the hockey puck look from the previous gen.

We have these little guys all over the house and I love them. Eliminate yelling across the house with the intercom, ask Alexa just about anything..timers..along clocks.. you name it!!!

Have the Echo and bought the Echo Dot. I think the Dot is as good as the Echo with just a "slight" loss of speaker quality. Does everything else that the Echo does for half the money.

Too bad they didn't mail it before the Geek Squad hooked up the tv, they could have hooked up the Echo also. Now it is going to sit on the table next to the tv.

two small and very difficult to use it wasn't easy to pair with my phone

Works great for my bedroom. No more alarm clock. The light on the clock is not too bright for the bedroom. Can listen to music, radio or set alarm or reminders anytime.

Got this for our 12 year old daughter. She uses it for music, weather, and as an alarm clock mostly. She loves it and the sale price at best buy was the best deal we found.

It was an amazing price and it works so well. I love how it connects to my phone and I can just ask Alexa and she can help me with anything I need. Definitely recommend getting.

Easy set up and fun to use for music or play games

Great item! I purchased this Echo Dot to replace an old alarm clock. It does a great job. One of the features I really like is the auto dimming of the clock LED display.

My son convinced me to let him buy it and connect to my Amazon Prime account. Unless you have several devices to link or your own Amazon account it's not a convenient item to use. I don't recommend it for children or teens (or to anyone who doesn't have their own Amazon account). I use my Amazon Prime Music every day (multiple times) whenever he wants to stream music from it and I am using the Prime Music, it kicks me off. It get aggravating and create issues. Only purchase if you are using it on an account you manage/own and don't let kids share your account with one of these devices. Hopefully you can understand my review and frustration.
