they don't make the like they used to

Unfortunately, the versions after the first generation have been a bit flimsy and have broken for me after 9 months of use. The top "lid" (not supposed to be a lid) has come off of this dot. It still works, but the it's annoying whenever the plastic top comes dislodged.
