Sadly, it will not connect to my Wi-Fi. I called the manufacturer and was told that it was defective. I will be returning the product in hopes that I can get it exchanged.

Only reason you may want Echo dot is if you already have great sound system and want some sort of Listening device/Mic in your home to play music or something.

Alexa struggles with providing accurate, applicable answers to questions. In our home, we don't have all the smart home gadgets, so we aren't able to use Alexa for controlling anything, so maybe I'd find her more useful in that capacity. Alexa has basically become a toy that we ask questions just to see how far off base her answers will be.
