We haven't had any smart home devices up to this point, so this is our first experience with something of this sort. Getting it connected to the home network was very easy. We have integrated it with our Ring home security system, which is also very simple and straight-forward.

First time having a smart home device it controls everything of my lights my thermostat my TV I sound system. I don't recommend Smart Lock for the doors because the Alexa can hear you outside can unlock the doors the outside and that's really bad. But I would still recommend this to friends and family

I own a few older generation dots and an Echo. Bought the Echo dot third generation and hav determined that it’s volume and deep speaker coins are definitely a step up from the echo dots of prior generation. I added this on to my family room and now have Alexa in several rooms in my house.

Easy to set up and use. We have enjoyed having the capability of getting weather updates and forecasts simply by asking Alexa. Echo Dot integrates easily with iHeart, Tuned In and other streaming services. I can play my personal music stored on Amazon simply by asking Alexa to play it.

Do not know where I would be without my Alexa devices. The echo is great and syncs well with my other devices. I love being able to ask the weather and get a great forcast of how the day will be. I use it all the time to set timers and more than 1 at a time. Set up is very easy to do. You need to download the alexa app to use. I also use it to announce things to every device in the whole house! So handy!

I love how alexa simplify my life. Of course in order to get the best experience you need other accesories like an smart plug for the tv or light bulb for the room etc.

Easy setup. Works great! Alexa can be very helpful and handy because of the hands-free nature of getting things done. She can turn lights on/off, read a recipe aloud, whatever you need while you're doing other things.

I already own an Echo and newer Dot, so was pleasantly surprised that the sound from this unit is nearly as good as the 4th gen. I have a set of powered gaming speakers with a subwoofer plugged into the 3.5 jack of this Dot and now can make my entire house BOOM playing music on the multiroom function. Highly recommend.

Great for in the kitchen. Less spying. Good for timers, weather, podcasts, and music in the kitchen.

I have two 2nd generation Dots and have few if any gripes with them. But when I received my 3rd gen Dot, I was very impressed with the upgrade. Audio has improved 50% imo. Volume and audio quality are much better with this model. I also like the increase in size and the fabric exterior.

The family loves it the kids interact with it daily it has games they tell it to play with them my mother which is 70 talks to it an it follows her directions instantly so Alexa is perfect for all age groups works excellently with the other devices and my Ring cameras

Purchased for my 7 year old since he is learning virtually and I work from home but full time I needed an alarm that would be simple for him to set up and thought this would be perfect since it has a visual of the time as well. My 7 years old uses it to set reminders on his assignments due, alarms for when he has to log into a meeting and Alexa even helps with his spelling or simple math from time to time. He also plays music on his breaks and honestly takes advantage of the product a lot more than what I thought he would so we love it! Definitely a great purchase for virtual learning.

Surprising sound quality from a small speaker. Kids enjoy playing trivia games on it and accessing their playlists.

A wonderful tool to automate my lighting at home. Setup was a breeze, and I can also use it to control my Fire TV hands free. This Echo Dot was included as a gift with my Fire TV purchase, so it was an awesome deal.

Amazon has figured out how to make setting this up and using it flawless. Easily got it to connect to wifi. It understands speech very well and can quickly get to things you cannot even name, only describe. We have not used smart home features, but see how easy it would be.

If you want it just for asking Alexa questions or setting a timer, or having it in another room, etc. it can't be beat, but for listening to music, by itself, would be disappointing. Pair it though, with another Echo Dot, and it sounds pretty good.

I love this color. Alexa’s are the new way to live lol I have one in each room. Never disappointed. They turn on and off my lights and play my music w no problem

I just love talking to Alexa and asking her to play whatever music I want to listen to whatever song I want to listen to from back in the day it's awesome

The Amazon Bluetooth speakers have been great since they debuted with the full size Echo years ago, and the Echo Dot is no different. Very affordable with many great features available through Alexa! Easy to pair and use right away. Awesome product.

This is my third Echo Dot I’ve purchased for my home and placed in strategic locations for my use; bed room, family room and work shop. I use my Dots for playing music, voice controlling my smart lights and small appliances, as well as asking questions
