The echo dot, doesn’t integrate with YouTube but can play via Bluetooth. I read that I could use this as a Bluetooth speaker and all I would have to do is say “Alexa turn on Bluetooth” and then I would be able to connect my phone. Well it worked the first night I got it, and I was super happy with it. Then the next morning it wouldn’t connect to my phone via Bluetooth. Then it would say it was connected and it wasn’t. I tried to connect my phone via the app to Bluetooth it, and then the speaker would say “connected to iPhone” and then instantly “unable to connect to iPhone” I had gotten a free Google speaker a year ago and gotten rid of it after a month, so I decided to try this out, but after two days, I’m giving it away. It’s also really off putting that YouTube seems to be one of the only platforms that it doesn’t integrate with. I am 27 for reference and understand how technology works, but this Bluetooth problem going from working to not working overnight is beyond frustrating since I was going to use it as a glorified speaker anyways.

Other Amazon products in my house do not do this and nothing else around to interfere with so not sure what’s up. Luckily I got it on sale so it is what it is.

Will be returning it. If the device has 10 volume settings then the speaker should be able to handle all of them. Alexa is good for some things but Google is much smarter.
