Not a fan of giving Bazos access to my home and all my info and preferences. Threw this out

I like the interface with the internet. I just have to give a command to Alexa and immediately I Have answers.

Echo dot is a great tool to use if you want to bring alexa along for the ride it is perfect for that!

Had to return this echo dot, horrible sound, only good thing the return was very easy.

Sounds ok. Expectations not met. So many units to choose from

I got this in Dec 2020, and here is is mid June 2021 and it doesn’t work. My other Alexa device (echo show) works great thus far. I have contacted customer support for the Alexa and nothing. They just want to keep trouble shooting and I went through the same trouble shooting process for 4 days straight with no progress and they acted as if it was my problem when I was getting frustrated that they wouldn’t listen when the trouble shooting wasn’t working. The dot won’t connect to my wifi and all of a sudden it did that. We never changed anything. Everything was and is up to date software wise. It just won’t connect to the wifi so something is wrong. Customer support just kept wanting to redo and redo and redo the troubleshooting and it wouldn’t work after the 100th time so I got upset and they said when I was ready to continue to keep doing the same trouble shooting to contact them again.

It sucks. Not at all what it is described as!! I am so sorry I bought it.

second one i bought with a bad output jack. i will return tomorrow. you must have a bad batch

We have enough items in our house to make buying an Alexa device practical. I have connected the following to our Alexa app: 1. Our car - remote lock and remote start by asking Alexa. 2. Our Roomba 3. Several TP-Link plugs 4. Our NEST thermostat 5. Our Ring security system You can also link it to apps that manage calendars and grocery lists. Therefore you can add to a list just by asking Alexa to do so when you think of it so you don't have to write it down. Oe of the main decisions I had to make was which version of the speaker do I need for listening to music? I considered the $400 Bose speaker but didn't want to spend that much. Then there is is the $180 Sonos speaker but you need 2 for stereo. But, here is the great part - this Dot will connect to my Bose mini soudlink that I already have giving me fantastic sound. I highly recommend going this route rather than buying an expensive speaker with Alexa built-in. If it is also important to have a screen then there is the Spot or Show for that. However, the Echo Dot understands me even when the TV is loud and performs whatever skill I ask of it. I decided on the Dot rather than the Google Mini simply because I am already an Amazon Prime member and have a Fire TV.

Haven’t been able to use it just yet. Planning to do so next month. Currently not at home.

Great device... for a year. The past few months it started to get glitchy.

Smart,nice,reliable I like the reminders and the timer also the different types of music for free

Just get you a google. This device does not reach in country places.

Don’t know how to use it. Need more direction to work it. Still trying to find out how to work it with my tv.

Never listens, never does what I want. Google the right woman for me.

I like the way this product works. I can control a lot of my home device with this product.
