Recommend buying the bigger unit. This dot sound quality not the best.

Amazon Echo is a solid speaker. It has an improved design, and a much better sound quality compared to the 2nd generation Echo. It is a must-have tool in the kitchen. I can ask it to play music, set alarms or timers and scheduling reminders. Alexa won't always know the answer to all of your questions, but overall, I have been extremely happy and strongly recommend it.

The Echo Dot 3rd Gen mimics the design of it's big brother from the fabric covered sides to the color changing top light. It's convenient to use and easy to setup, just like the regular Echo. In fact, it does everything my regular echo does, but for less. That is, unless you want to use it to listen to music. The sound quality leaves a lot to be desired (though it's partly to be expected from such a small device). Music is tinny and doesn't have any depth. The regular Echo performs much better if you're looking forward to using it to listen to music. Or simply connect it to an external speaker.

Opted to buy the Apple Home pod instead due to larger size.

This product is awesome. You can ask it anything, have it add items to your grocery list. Plays any song you ask it to play. Can also, control smart tvs with Alexa. Very convenient, and the speakers sound pretty good for the size. Would recommend.

Echo It’s free when you purchase the ring But don’t really need for it

Didn’t want to connect to wifi. Customer service wasn’t able to solve this just temporary connect and disconnect. experience issues upon connecting. If you have 5G wifi you need to set a certain frequency so Alexa connects. Couldn’t figure it out on my router

It has a richer sound quality it’s pretty load I wouldn’t estimate the size of this thing being small that packs a punch with full of surprises ! I just bought mines just last Friday , Ive been having so much fun all day with this , if you love music then this is for you .. if , you’re a amazon shopper and your already a member to amazon . This has it’s amazing deal unlimited free movies on amazon music for just $3.99 a month.. and you don’t have too , it still has a good Advantage play free music anyways but , it will have very short commercials . The neat thing I like about this Echo Dot 3rd. Gen. Is the aux - audio output does work well , I have it plugged in to my Sony surround sound theater system . Works amazing! But .. it dose not come with a aux. cable , you will need to buy one or if you already own one then you’re good to go ! And you can buy - other smart light bulbs and more speakers to you living , the Alexa app. Is very easy to understand and use Only compatible with smart appliances . Plugs , bulbs etc. this worth the bucks!

Works well, except voice is muffled and sometimes hard to understand.

I bought this product a year ago for less than $20 and It's still working, I didn't realize this product was that great, I can use it as speaker. Also I can manage my whole house with this smart home. That's just amazing!! Clear motion camera, and motion detection.

I think this item will work as advertised once I am successful at hooking it up. But it refuses to accept the network and password on my modem and, due to the Covid-19 lockdown, it is nearly impossible to get technical support. I'll keep trying.

1st echo dot doesn't work anymore is it still in warranty? Haven't used for at least 6 months, other one just took out of box and works great.please reply. That explains poor rating Thanks Dan J.

I bought two of these and they was a really waste of money. They just sitting on the nite stand. They didnt tell me you need other to make it work n i like wireless thing i dont have time to be unplugging things when i go to another room.

I dont see why anyone would use this. We have become so lazy that instead of getting up and doing something we just say “Alexa”. Unbelievable

It's compact, easy to set up, and delivers great sound. Alexa is a helpful assistant. Overall, a solid smart speaker choice.

The little pod that snoops on your conversations. Activates without commands sometimes. Annoying, have unplugged it and only ug in when i have to use it for a music player.
