I primarily use Alexa to control smart bulbs and switches, and for that the echo dot has been great. She will not get all commands right 100% of the time, but I find that when you're having trouble communicating with Alexa, it's best to use a calm, clear, but stern voice to get your point across.

Very surprising sounds from this unit... Amazon did their homework! I upgraded most of the gen2 echo do'ts to the gen3 version and I'm glad I did, the sound is MUCH better! Much more bass than the previous version and the microphones seem to be a bit better, also! Great job, highly recommened!

It is truly amazing that such a small device can do so much! I use it for basic info like the weather but you can do so much more. This is the first dot that I've bought since the original one and they have really improved the speaker. This is great to stream music.

Easy installation & reliable “help” make this Echo Dot worth it!! Having fun with it (Alexa - tell me a dad joke”...etc!) also makes it worth it. I enjoy having her in charge of my lamp with smart bulb too! Good buy for sure!!

Love it. Love that I don't have to set alarm clock everyday. One and done. Would like to wake up the music of my choice just not what on amazon. With it being linked music wise with my other Echo, it does not provide me the correct information when asking who is singing. Not able to link to my TV in my roomto change channels.

It's still good after 3 years. Works well and connects quickly.

Never thought I’d want or like this silly little thing. I got it for my new dog who has separation anxiety. I turn on either classical music or white noise to drown out the day to day outside noises. And the best part is if I forget to turn it on, I can turn it on from my phone from wherever I’m at. Now I have figured out that has a grocery list, so never again will I forget some thing at the store. The best part is my husband thinks I’m talking to him but I’m not. Lol

So easy to use and setup. You can ask Alexa questions or to play music. You can also ask her to let you know when Amazon packages will be delivered. Definitely worth buying.

Item is all and more I ever expected from my Amazon Echo Dot. My very first Echo Dot and I am just amazed how easy it was to set up and use. A must have if your into voice command devices. My Echo Dot makes my life a little easier. Love it.

I have the pink one. I love how it lights up and its has a great volume for something so small.

The echo dot works wonderful...I take it inside or outside and it is so easy to work. I can listen to any kinds of music anywhere in my house.

Paired easily with smart lights and ring alarm system. Occasionally have issues when trying to have devices play music since they default to Amazon music even after changing the default to Apple Music.

Works awesome perfect for timers music and other things and to play some fun quizzing games!
