I live this! It’s the perfect size. Love the smart outlets that it’s compatible with. Easy set up. Great sound quality perfect little speaker for listening to music.

Never knew what we were missing till we got 3 of these. Can control smart lights, play music, set timers, ask questions, so useful. One in bedroom, one in kitchen, one in living room.

Just wanted an small speaker for music and for the price it is really good.

I have Echo Dot (3rdGen) in every room in my home and love them. Turn all lights on, off, answer questions, play music, form a grocery list, place orders with Amazon Prime, drop in with family members within my home, intercom fam when dinner is ready and other etc.

We received the Dot free with the FireTV. We are loving it! Get weather, music or tell it to turn on the TV. We had missed being able to ask Alexa questions.

We got the Echo Dot free with the purchase of a ring camera. This is not something we would have purchased, but am happy that we have. Easy to set up and use. Purchased an additional Echo Dot to put on our lower level. Would recommend for anyone.

It was a Christmas gift and my Uncle loved it now he can play his music in his room and fall asleep to the rain easy to program and easy set up so if you know someone that loves music new and entertainment it's a good buy

The sound quality of the speaker in this gen3 model is much better than my echo dot gen2 that I have. I like how this looks with the fabric sides. It is larger and heavier than the gen2 model (probably because of a larger speaker inside). It comes with a large power adapter and the connector is no longer micro usb but a circular plug similar to the audio connector. So no longer able to use this in the car like with gen2 (if you wanted to do that) because of the different connector and larger power adapter needed.

Nice improvement from the previous version, not only on the looks but the quality on the sound. Keep in mind that the speaker is small, don't expect BOSE-like sound, but they serve a nice purpose, and, come on, you can beat the price, they are almost free nowadays.

When used in conjunction with Amazon music, Amazon Prime you really get a lot out of this device. It sounds ok for a small room and is fairly user friendly. My daughter keeps asking it to play "Baby Shark" lol. I mainly use it for the weather, questions that I would normally Google on my phone, or listening to music while I work from home. I kind of wish we would have went with the full sized Echo, but still not bad sound out of this speaker.

My kids are enjoying with this Alexa and it's became daily routine to play with Alexa for their innovative activities.

Does everything advertised. Very good hearing, I never have to repeat and it actually understands what I say. This is my second one (I have one in the garage, where I work a lot) and one in my office.

Bought this Alexa for my daughter for Christmas. She enjoys music and I figured she’d love it compared to using YouTube to listen to music. We have the Show and I can communicate with her through the Alexas if need be.

Love love love my echo dots. I have various and they are so convenient. I can ask for the weather or to turn lights on & off. I ask for info and my kids ask questions for help with school, or to find music. Love love love!

I have the second gen echo dots, big echo speaker, and echo show. The speaker in the 3rd gen echo dot destroys all of those. It has a better microphone too so I can actually use it effectively as a home intercom system. The alexa 2nd gen wasn't loud enough for that.

I chose the echo based upon the reviews of it capability with Alexa controls. It is a simple set up process. You just need to play with it a bit to explore many things that it can do for you. Once you get used to it, you will wonder why you didn’t have one before.

Amazon's third-generation Echo Dot ($49) looks good and sounds great. With vastly improved audio, it's now a distinctly better smart speaker than the Google Home Mini, and can replace the larger $99 Echo for less picky folks.

This is my second echo dot in the house. Love them both! You can link them to your ring doorbell, and any music apps. You can also drop in on another Alexa from your echo dot or your cellphone which is great. Easy set up as well.

Received the 3rd generation Echo Dot as a freebie when getting the Nest doorbell. I am already a big fan of the Echo products. This is the first 3rd generation Dot and find it a bit more attractive but the sound is much better than the earlier models.

We love our Echo Dot, surprisingly quality sound from such a small unit.
