I am a huge fan of all echo decices, i have one on every room and i link them to create groups to play music. I also added the Pandora card to Alexa so i can play Pandora on them too.

Good sound coming from the speaker. My son uses it to play lo-fi study music and sleep sounds at night. It has many more uses but that's primarily what we use it for.

works fine with wifi...good item with good price. I gave it to my neighbor for her birthday, because my grandson has one, and I thought it would be alot of fun...she was very happy to get it.....

Alexa, very easy to negotiate, intelligent option for hands free operation. Works well with tv, has many applications.

Got this for my niece for college. Great device for a college student to have. Works as a an alarm clock, radio, calendar, reminders and access to a lot of information available on the web without actually having to use your computer.

I had the echo dot 2. I was satisfied with the performance of the device. Alexa heard me commands whether I was close or far away. I was very disappointed with the sound, however, this new device sounds so good. It's like night and day.

I use this in a spare bedroom. I have some type of alexa device in every room. Its great for the automation and it's a whole house music system. Great for cleaning house and it will tell me if someone comes to the door.

I am impressed with the sound of speakers for this small machine. I can make phone calls with this. It is responsive. I am still learning how to use all its potential features.

Easy to set up. I am a google home person, but I like Alexa as well, specially the Drop-in feature, a feature that allows one Alexa to communicate to another (like an intercom). Google home doesn't let you do that.

Was looking for a gift during christmas and what a way to give someone a smart speaker alexa enable wherein you can connect almost all smart devices out there. Easy to use and to set up.

We love these echo dots. Start with one in the kitchen. Awesome to remind us on different cooking timers, playing music, tell me the weather, help me call to another room thruout the house, breaking news or even how much 2 3/4 cup or this plus 2 cups equals… just ask it anything. Its sound is crisp too. Cant get enough of them

I got this free for ordering another product. I decided to replace my 1st gen echo dot with this one. The sound quality and build is way better than the original. My only comment about this is it no longer uses a micro USB to power it.

We have an Amazon Echo upstairs and love it. The best part about the Echo Dot is it was included free with the Insignia TV I bought. It is the perfect addition for a downstairs level of a house. Very easy to set up.

This review is not so much about the Dot because there are thousands of those to filter through. Clearly Amazon is phasing this version out because you’re limited to one color and no option for the one with the clock. That being said Amazon is offering this dot with a lightbulb on their site for the same price but with quite a delay in delivery. But not to be outdone Best Buy is offering the same deal plus 4 months Sirius XM! And you can pickup in 1 hour! How can you pass that up? You can’t. So if you’re in the market for one, buy now before they’re all gone! $19.99 plus free bulb and Sirius XM.

I love being able to control my lights, tv, etc with this. It's also great for Amazon deliveries because Alexa will notify you when things have been delivered (faster than the Amazon app).

I listen to the radio in my office at work. I got this because it was on sale and I have a 2nd generation Echo Dot at home. I love it. I set reminders in the morning so I stay on schedule. It’s so easy to change what I’m listening to.
