Great home accessory to make life easier. The sound is great and the various alexa compatible products are endless. I know the dot was upgraded - but I think this one is still a smart buy.

Very helpful and easy to use. Don't expect it to be great for listening to music. There are larger versions that are better for that.

No qualms with this product. I have an Echo Plus, two Echoes, subwoofer and three dots with various Smart Home Products connected that all work great. This third generation. Seems a hair more robust and better sound than 2nd gen.

I use four of these around my home; helping me with voice control for my thermostat, Sonos speaker system, Ring cameras & alarm system, etc. The units are not expensive and work very well.

I’ve really liked using the echo dot. I’ve compared with google home and the voice recognition seems superior with this device. The skills are more platform agnostic as well, which is nice when we have services from a variety of providers. Not 5 stars only because it does still struggle with commands sometimes. That’s to be expected with these devices.

Like the flexibility and ease of use. Pretty good sound from such a small device.

Alexa has made my house great. Compatibility with the lights is the best part. My basement lights are on single pulls. Smart bulbs + Alexa for the win! No rewiring to put all on 1 circuit necessary!

Easy to setup and was surprised at how well it picked up my voice commands. It has a well rounded sound that fills the whole room. Glad I got two of them on sale as I use them in different parts of the house.

The amazon echo dot is a nice speaker for the price. However, I’f your not someone whose tech Sabby it can be kind of confusing. With initial setup you need to download the echo app which needs work. In order to play music you either have to pay for Anazons music store, or connect to your pandora which can be challenging. Alexa doesn’t answer more specific questions like the google does.

Gave in and finally joined Alexa Nation. Still learning all the things Alexa can do. Paired two speakers, kind of like stereo. Very good sound for such a small unit. Amazon will take over the world soon!

The echo Dot has been really fun to use. From playing music, to viewing our security cameras, and controlling our thermostat this is a must have. I highly recommend this for someone who is upgrading to a smart home.

This has been my first venture into the Alexa product. I ended up getting 8 of these plus a couple Echo Plus units. I like the color, but the size is great when you want it in a room but don't want it setting out in the open taking away from the decor of the room. The color blends in well with most stuff but the unit is small enough to be able to hide it behind a lamp or other fixture.

This Echo Dot is perfect for my grandsons room. I play music we can sing to, soothing sounds to help him relax and sleep. I can whisper to ask questions when he is sleeping. Love having it.

Excellent purchase, it provides exactly what I needed in my kitchen. I use it everyday to check the weather, listen to music, set a timer, etc. There are so many helpful possibilities!!

I really Love Alexa's capabilities. She is very informative and Great learning tool for the Family. It came with the purchase of the Television so it was really a surprise to recieve it and be able to use Alexa.

Easy to setup and easy to use. I like to ask questions about simple things and alexa always responds with an answer to questions about weather or music playing.

Got a couple of these for the house around Christmas time. Great price for a great device. Sound is exceptional for such a small device, much better than the second generation dots. Looking forward to “smartifying” my home.

I first was hesitant to use a voice recognition device, but I've really enjoyed having it. It was pretty easy to set up, and it very rarely has responded except when summoned.

I was able to purchase this for a great price as an introduction to Alexa! Set up was easy enough for this grandmother! So much easier to access music and other smart devices. Order was easy and delivery was good too.
