Alexa has been useful for telling me the weather and reminding me of my schedule. The sound quality on the speaker is also great for listening to music and the design of the third generation would look aesticaly pleasimg in pretty much any room.

This is a great smart device. Loved how easy it was to setup and all the features and functions that it has. It comes in very handy at home, especially now that I have added a few smart plugs around the house to control lights and other devices. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a small compact speaker with very good sound quality for its price!

Very easy to set up and use. Been using it for several weeks without experiencing any issues. Clarity is excellent when listening to podcasts, news or music. Alexa is able to answer most questions. Highly recommend.

This was my second Echo Dot as I had gotten one on special from Amazon. Love having it my bedroom to listen to music/sounds at night and control my smartbulb. Very nice on these cold Wisconsin nights to be snuggled up and voice control my lamp. Lots of other skills and features to use too. Set up was a breeze. Plug in and open the Alexa app to find new device. That's it.

I'm not good with technical devices, and actually resisted getting this as a gift, but when it came as a bonus with my tv, I set it up with great ease and LOVE IT!!!! Versitile to use with my Fire tV, orr just to plat my favorite music, find out about weather, sports scores, or even as an alarm cloce to whatever sound or song you like!!!! You will LOVE Alexa too!!!

I like my Echo dot,because it wakes me up in the morning, I can play music anytime I want,I can tell it to remind about events through the day, so I don't miss anything important.My Echo dot is very dependable and accurate, I will always know what the weather is like outside before going. I was very impressed with the build quality and output sound of the speaker. This little speaker packs a good punch for its size and price. I now have owned them for over 2 years so I can vow for their quality. Having the Alexa functionality in your home is very convenient. I started with one and now I have 3 echos, a nest, 3 fire TV’s, and light switches all over my home controlled by Alexa. I can get in bed at night and turn off all the lights with just a voice command. Now that’s living in 2020. I gave it 4 stars and not five because of Alexa. Sometimes she just stops working for now reason.

Easy set up, the echo dot works so well. I feel I am never alone :-)! It plays music when I take a shower, it tells me all I need to know, from NPR to different kinds of music, and best of all, it never complains! It does not feel insecure I have another dot, and it doesn't complain when I dont feel like talking to it. The echo dot knows it is all about ME! :-)

I remember thinking I did not need an Alexa until I got my girlfriend a fire TV. Alexa came with the tv. Not only is Alexa a must get because you can ask it to switch channels, turn light on with smart light, or order specific items on Amazon. But it could be helpful for my grandparents who constantly lose remote

Got it for free with a tv in Black Friday . Never thought I would use it but it actually does serve a great purpose. I always ask it the weather every morning while I’m bed and don’t have to bother googling it on my phone and ask it to play music and set timers it’s really useful. I wouldn’t mind buying the newer one In the future it really does come in handy.

I currently have an Insignia Google home smart speaker which I love but this Echo Dot is fantastic!, It has better compatibility with a lot more smart devices than Google Home, the sound is nice and crisp for such a small device I paired this with my thermostat, Ring cameras and my Samsung Powerbot and everything works great just with a voice command I can get everything started.

The Echo dot is very convenient, you can start your music, you can change your home temperature (i have an eco bee 4), you can check your amazon orders, check the weather and etc. easy to change places, if you want to bring it to your bathroom and listen music to while you shower yiu can, if you want to cook listing to your echo you also can. Very easy to use and a great help during the day.

Quick and easy set up even for the average/not super tech savvy person. Works as expected and easy to add skills. I mostly use it for music and the sound quality is just fine in my open kitchen/ living room. The one thing I wish is that this would work without being plugged in but then, how would they make as much money if you didn't have to buy one for every room you wanted it in.

This is my 4th Echo Dot. I use them mainly for cooking and kindle for when I'm working out. There super easy to setup and don't take up a lot of space. One of my favorite features are the voice commands. You can ask Alexa questions if you're unsure about things, she tells you jokes and you can even order FOOD. The Echo dot will be a great gadget for your house.

The same quality, I didn’t notice to much of an improvement compared with the second gen. But it is a great value. You get a decent speaker ( not like crazy loud for a large or big living room but good enough for a room or an office or even a small apartment. It is easy to use and easy to program different things like home automation or even use for other Amazon features like audible or Amazon music. Overall if you are able to snatch it for 20 dollars or less I think is a no brainer.

We have Alexas all over our house! I won’t say that the dot has the best sound but it’s also not bad. In a smaller space I think it would be great. We have our dot connected to a Bose SoundTouch and it makes listening to music so simple. For just regular use it’s not connected and still sounds decent. For the price it can’t be beat.

I never understood the hype for the echo dot, I mean, how useful could a hockey puck sized speaker be? Well, now I understand. The echo dot is small but packs a punch. I put it in my bathroom and use to all the time to listen to music while getting ready. It’s easy to pair to other steaming services or you can easily pull songs from amazon music. A must have for any home!

I can only review this as a first time user with this type device. I've had it a couple weeks now and it is really a fun thing to have around. It was easy to set up, and thus far has worked well. I purchased a few smart light switches and plugs. They, on the other hand, were a little trickier to get going, but ;ike everything tech, got easy after the first connect. Connecting the plugs and switches to the wifi took a try or two, but connecting them to the Dot was simple. The speaker is a little muffled, but not bad. The Dot can hear you without having to turn the TV down, or sushing other conversations. So far, I am happy with this purchase.

I have a few of these smart home devices placed conveniently around the house to control my other smart home devices (LED light bulbs, speakers, Ring Doorbell 2). I like how the quality is pretty good, nice and very stylish, great product from Amazon! Highly recommended for kids room so that they can stream Amazon music and you can drop in and have a two-way convo.
