I love my Echo Dot. It was super easy to set up. I use it to listen to music with great sound. I can ask it about anything; the weather, recipes, trivia. It's like living with a living encyclopedia or genius relative.

Impressed with how well is understands what everybody is saying, regardless of who is speaking in my house. Super easy to set up and very clear sound when playing music too! I'm not sure what the difference are between the 3rd gen and the older ones, but so far this has worked pretty flawlessly for our needs.

In my opinion the Amazon Echo Dots or any of these small smart devices are the best bang for the buck, and these 3rd gen units have better speakers and a bit more bass than the 2nd gen ones, the cloth covering is also a bit classier! Have about five Echo Dots thru my house and they make life easier with the recent mini explosion of smart home devices!

Great product ; My son loves it. He uses it as an alarm clock and forgaming as well. This was a Nice gift with purchase received it from Best Buy with my flatscreen purchase. Set up what’s a praise and the Echo Dot interfaces with a lot of things in the home.

I bought this finally giving in to get a voice activated speaker in the house. It has been great to listen to tons of music to. The volume and bass are great. It is small and I love the fact that I can turn the speaker off when I don't want to use it. I can listen to the latest songs without having to physically change the station. Loving this!

I love Alexa because she works well with all my other Amazon products and plays whatever specific song I request her to play. Also her ability to understand almost any phrase is impressive.

We got three of these at the same time we purchased the Echo Studio. They were on sale and even came with a cool smart bulb free with purchase at the time. LOVE THEM!!! Like to pair up the speakers and listen all through the house. Easy set up and having a blast using them!

I purchased the new Dot for my friend, and neither of us was disappointed. This has all of the same functionality as other Dots but looks and sounds better. The addition of the fabric around the speaker and the rounding of the edges has given this a much better, modern look than the other generations. And it sounds better too. 10/10 would recommend!

The Amazon Echo Dot has been the perfect addition to our Echo hub! We have it in the master bedroom and use it for our alarm, for sleep sounds at night, and for playing music when we get ready for work in the mornings. It has also been very handy to use as an intercom from the kitchen to the bedroom!

They all work just fine. Alexa can be kind of dense at times but she's polite. I bought some Echobees that had Alexa built in. She didn't work correctly but that was Echobee's fault. A software update fixed that. At this point, if I address Alexa in one spot in my house she answers three places, the hallway thermostat, the kitchen, and a near bedroom. There is such a thing as having too many of these! Also I have one in the garage on a thermostat. Works pretty good, will play music and other stuff. None of them are definitely audiophile-quality in terms of sound. However, I'm old with some hearing limitations and I can use them just fine. My wife uses level 5, but I have to always back it down to level four volume. Not Alexa's fault. The one in our kitchen is above the cabinets over the sink. Sometimes I have to yell at her to get her attention (my wife too), particularly if there's any other noise. However even dictating this she answered several times from 30'. So, she hears better when it's quiet (Again, like my wife). Perhaps Alexa is getting old too? Bottom line she's sweet when I say goodnight, not necessarily the same as my wife. :-)

I replaced my 2nd Gen dot with this one and let me tell you the difference in sound is very noticeable. It is slightly larger than the 2nd Gen but the looks are so much better. These are perfect to have around the house and great for me since I have a 2 story home it makes it easier to communicate with my kids instead of yelling for them from downstairs.

If you sign into your music streaming services it will automatically choose from them to play what you ask it to. Can be separate groups for separate rooms or areas of your home if you have several or they can all play the same thing simultaneously through the whole house. Not as full a range of sound as the full sized echo but for it's price point it's Awesome!

An Alexa is always a great thing to have especially when you have other devices to pair it with. My Alexa came with a smart led light bulb and admittedly its not the brightest but having the ability to control the lights with just the sound of my voice is incredible.

This echo dot is so much better than the second gen echo dot because this one has better speakers. it sounds almost as good as the full echo device, minus the size. I love the small size because it can fit anywhere on your desk hidden from view to make it feel like your house is speaking to you like in sci fi movie lol.

Great little product just to use an alarm clock, check the weather, or asking Alexa to play random sounds. Yeah, that’s all I really use it for. I ask it random questions to look up currency conversions or random facts to prove I’m right during discussions. Still a nifty and low-price product to have for the home.

Very easy to set up. Convenient in size and doesn't attract attention. Use as a speaker in the room and the sound is pretty good.

Amazon - Echo Dot (3rd Gen) - Smart Speaker with Alexa - Charcoal is good looking and of high quality. Works great for smaller areas that you would like to have a digital assistant. Very easy setup from the Alexa APP.
