The quality of the speaker improved greatly from the 2nd to 3rd generation. I have several of these around the house all linked together and really enjoy a "whole house audio" experience. Only downside is they lose their connection sometimes and have to be setup again.

I love the quality of the new echo dot. Works great with all my smart home products. Voice activation is on the money. Thinking of buying another.

Just made my whole house a smart home thanks to this small intelligent device. The new looks goes well with my home style and it’s easy to use. The kids enjoy using it as well. This can be an alternative for a house phone or an intercom system through your house. Highly recommend owning one to make life easier at home.

Works great for listening to music. Alexa also will tell jokes or recipes. Can also control lights and heat. Control with ring doorbell and camera.

I use my echo dot for many things. From listening to my favorite radio station to ask Alexa to send my Roomba Robot to clean the house.

Great non screen option with nice sound. These work great for smaller rooms.

We have several linked through your home. So convenient to use for music, news and weather. We rarely turn on our TV now.

Love being able to use Alexa for commands. Love it when she can play Apple Music and even favorite radio stations. Love it even more than Siri.

It becomes really handy if you have smart home feature enabled. However, it does not perform at it greatest when you need to broswe internet to get into some detail on daily basis. Good overall, can be used to play games or relaxing music. Solid 4 stars.

The Echo dot 3rd Generation is quite an improvement in comparison to the 2nd Gen and I love it, like all other Amazon high quality products.

Works just as good or slightly better that the 1st one (2nd Gen) that I got 2 years ago. Would be great if I could play my Amazon music subscription on it rather than having to set up a separate account for music; it's the same house.

After using the 1st generation Echo for the past year, I added the dot to another room and love it. Sound is greatly improved and well worth the money. The drop in feature works well and being able to play music throughout the house when entertaining folks is a nice bonus.

It's a great compliment to the other eco devices I already own. It's nice to have Alexa available in all the rooms

Great multitasking tech. It keeps your appointments, tells you the weather, plays music and much more.

I own 10 echo devices in which 3 of them are the echo dot. I was waiting for them to update this and when they finally did I couldnt wait to get one or more. I like how they blend in more to our things we have on our shelfs and dont stick out. The new echo dot also sounds way better but I dont use and echo devices for music unless I want a quick listen to some random tune.

She is amazing. Turns the tv on and off and changes the channel with voice commands. Answers questions anytime.
