Significant improvement over 2nd gen echo dot. When it plays music it’s a significant step up from previous generation. Also enables updated features of Alexa products - for example can integrate into Ring alarm to “listen” for broken glass when alarm is set.

Family is very happy with Amazon - Echo Dot (3rd Gen). Sound quality is GREAT. Maybe more will be bought for our home this Holiday.

This is my third Echo-dot, I use them all the time to: turn lights on/off, tuen TV on/off, control my Mvidia Shield and play various routines.

My wife and I bought a few Echo Dots for our Apartment. We chose this one specifically for the bedroom. Now we can listen to music when cleaning and see the time. Best feature is the display. When you turn off the lights the display dims. You can still see it but it does not blare at you when you are trying to sleep. The only flaw which I find with all of the Echo dots is that somethings the mics don't pick up your voice or it is sometimes slow to respond. I would still recommend this devise to everyone. For a small speaker the sound sounds great!

It does exactly what Alexa should do. No issues getting it to sync with my smart bulbs or anything.

Neat thing to have!! Alexa doesn't listen all the time though! Or she talks when not spoken to, sometimes! But it's nice when I am in bed and I ask Alexa to turn off the light - I don't have to get up to turn it off!
