3rd gen Echo dot is well made. Feels solidly constructed. Works just like previous Echo dots but the speaker is improved with a richer sound. Aesthetically it is improved as well with a fabric band and the device itself being more rounded. I’m very happy with this Echo dot and highly recommend it!

Its a dot...not many bells and whistles but that's what I wanted. I got this to allow me to voice control my firestick without reaching for the controller. I know..welcome to 2019, we are all lazy. Haha! The design is nice and sleek. Looks great on my night stand. Works flawlessly with my firestick. Set up is a bit complicated, specially if you want to sync it with your firestick but YouTube, you'll be fine. For the price you cant beat it. If you have a Firestick this is a must have. I have a Google home and a Dot, they both come in handy.

Great quality sound! It’s like having someone to ask anything, need the time...ask Alexa. Need an alarm, ask Alexa. Wan,t to know the score of the game, what year a certain event occurred, how to spell a word...just ask. Stream music, play games, listen to a story. So many wonderful features! Set up in minutes.

Great little device. After getting an echo show, I added this to my bedroom. There is good sound quality with the speaker. It is perfect. I really like the alarm feature and how I have it paired with a smart lightbulb that gradually brightens to wake you up. I bought one for my parents too.

So if you are interested in begging your collection of Alexa compatible devices, the echo dot is great to start with. It is small, but has great sound quality. The setup is fairly easy on the app. Alexa has a plethora of functions. I use it often to play mind games and printing activities for my children.

My first smart speaker. Decided to go with Amazon Echo Dot 3G for the value & its compatibility w/ other smart devices & its price vs the more expensive brands, like Apple. I'm not disappointed and quickly added a 2nd Echo (Flex). I plan to get more since they work together seamlessly.

Having a lot of fun using this with my elderly mom. Now instead of running to the computer every time someone says, "I wonder....", now the Echo Dot can answer all of our questions. It is nice and small so isn't an eye sore in the room. Easy to set up and to use.

Got this free with a purchase of a MacBook. I never thought I needed one of these but the convenience of being able to play music and ask questions hands-free is amazing!

Compatible with the most home automation products, responsive, and cheap! There is even an Alexa skill you can add to start your car in the morning (requires a more recent model Ford vehicle with Sync Connect). Highly recommend the echo/alexa eco-system if the primary purpose of a smart speaker is to make your home "smart" and convenient.

This is a great product at a reasonable price. It provides quick answers to questions, reminders, alarms, and connectivity to people in other areas of the house. And, it makes hands-free phone calls with simple voice commands. It is easy to set-up and use.

Easy to set up. Fits in nicely with any decor. I have it set up with a smart plug so I ask Alexa to turn on my light as I walk into the room & shut it when I walk out. Very convenient to ask questions I want answers to. Play music, get the weather. Awesome that I don’t need to look for my glasses & type into a device. I just use my voice.

What did I do before Alexa!!? The size is small enough to fit anywhere, but sound is very clear. She detected my Smart TV so I will have fun letting her set me up. Best Buy shipped to me within days and great packaging. Thank you Best Buy,AGAIN, for being my go to company.

I received the 3rd Gen Echo Dot as an add-on for another purchase. It's a great upgrade from the 2nd gen one that we had for a couple years now. The speakers have a tangible difference in the sound quality. The design also has come a long way too which seems to place the focus more on the speakers.

Perfect size for my sons room. It allows him to listen to the music he wants. We also use it for an alarm and of course to answer the millions of random questions he has. Best impulse buy ever.

Well l’m old school so for be it is big thing. It dose music tell you time and how to bake.tech is ahead time never I thought to see something like this it dose everthing I like has different things it’s getting better time mine is black it match mine furniture it’s amazing it dose alarm how to bake.

I was surprised at how much I like this after having read a lot of news stories recently about these devices and privacy concerns. I like that you can mute this so that it's not listening when you don't want it to. I am very pleased with the sound quality - it has a nice, rich sound compared to the sound that comes directly from the iPad. I'm also getting used to dealing with Alexa. She does not always respond the way I need her to, even when I'm being super clear. But that might be user error that will be worked out over time.

We now own 6 different Echo devices and I must say this one is pleasing! The sound quality exceeds that of the prior version and though not quite as good as the regular Echo it is still surprisingly clear and has good depth of tone. Such a quick setup as well, we had it hooked up and running in about 4 minutes.

We have one in the kitchen, bedroom and living room. We love playing music in the house, using them for light switches and being able to play music for the dog while we’re gone. We have a plug programmed to a light for our dog. So it turns on with a schedule we made since it gets dark before we get home at night.
