Spend a few dollars more if that will be your primary purpose. 4 stars for what it was meant for...know what you are buying, this is not hi-fi.

This little baby has been phenomenal. My kids have broken 4-5 alarm clocks. They also messed up the AM & PM so that their alarms would not go off at the proper time. So this was going to be a glorified alarm clock. It has become so much more. The kids have Friday night jam sessions. The drop in feature is great when I'm in the basement and they are in their room. I have grown to love the echo dot.
