Small size with a good sound quality. Easy to set up. I bought two for setting a paired stereo system for my fire tv stick. It can also be connected to my mobile via Bluetooth. Just one disadvantage that it must work in the internet environment. Otherwise, Alexa will not be functioning.

Have Echo Dots in home office and basement workshop. Attractive appearance and take little space. Nice for background music. Useful for making notes, adding to lists, and setting reminders. Simple set up using my Amazon Fire HD8.

Received this as a Christmas present. Put it in my bedroom. I use it as an alarm, to listen to music, to get the weather etc... for such a small item it has an excellent speaker in it. This is an expensive item but you get a lot of bang for your buck!!!! Worth every penny.

I bought the Echo Dot to use mainly as an alarm and it works wonderfully. Voices with a lower register don't project very well, but I didn't buy it to listen to people talk. Music plays fine and the morning routine has been very helpful in waking me up!

I love how easy it is to use. I think the sound is pretty good too, I just use it to listen to music in my room and it does a pretty good job for that.

We had an Alexa tower and recently purchased a Dot. We put the Dot in our bedroom. The size of it fits perfectly on our nightstand. We use it to turn on the bedside lamp as well as for checking the time and weather. And also use it to listen to music. It is very easy to use.

Echo Dot has been around for a long time. My Alexa system works near a Google Nest system. They control the same lights in a one bedroom apartment. Both brands are worth the investment. Amazon seems to have entertainment in mind. Echo products have many skills for playing music or answering questions. Skills are nice, but they are meant to have a premium charge. Watch your response to Alexa's questions. This Echo Dot is well made and easy to setup with the Alexa app. If you have a Wi-Fi router, try one. Alexa just might tell you how old she is. (A few other "wake up" names can be used. Mine responds to "Computer.")

Purchased three of these now. I have it hooked to my Nest thermostat and several light, and really enjoy being able to control all from simple verbal commands.

I have 5 of these located in various rooms throughout the house. Using Alexa compatible outlets it’s no hands for turning on / off lamps. These Echo Dots perform flawlessly. Great when you just want to play music, get the forecast, ask for information, or just have some fun.

I didn't think I'd like these things, but I was wrong. Got 3 of them for my house, they all work together, play music, answer questions, and I'm sure they do much more than I've even figured out how to do, it'll control my Nest, my harmony remote, my ring cameras. It's amazing!

got this product free with my ring doorbell. it is awesome. it sounds great. must have internet connection to use. i use it while in the shower and can hear it great while the water is running. it is loud. can also use bluetooth on it!

It's my 5th one, so you know I like them. The speaker quality keeps getting better with every generation. Like the charcoal grey fabric a lot. You really can't beat the price and they set up in minutes if you have the app already.

The sound is perfect for a single bedroom, and Alexa is useful for playing some music while I do my homework. The sound isn’t as good as a standard Alexa, but it’s really good for the price. I was originally going to buy a HomePod, but this is a great way to save money.

Amazon redesigned this from last year's model it's bigger, has more mics, and much improved sound. I did not like the fabric design nor the properitary power cord. For $50 this is a good voice assistant for a small room (bedroom, kitchen, bathrom). With Black Friday and Christmas sales coming soon pick up a couple as stocking stuffers, everyone would like getting one.

I use Alexa to get the weather, find out what time it is when I can't see a clock, and turn on/off my lights. The dot works every bit as well as a full size Alexa for far less money. Not a great speaker, but that's not what I use it for.

I love being able to turn off/on my lights from just a voice command. This will get you started, just have to purchase the correct light switches that can be connected to wifi. The little speaker in this is great for smaller rooms when playing music.

I like to listen to my favorite songs and artists. I ask if there is any notifications, I also want to connect to my television, I use it as an alarm when I’m cooking, I ask about the weather report, basically there is a lot of use of this tiny device, excellent.

This echo is so easy to use and i love that i can have it in my bathroom to listen to music while i shower and not have to stop to change the song!
