The only reason I gave it 4 fours, its because it needs the display capability to integrate with things like Ring or Arlo. Hence, the reason I purchased the echo Show.

Make things hands free around the house

They work the lights and plays music for us from spotify. We like that when we are occupied with cooking or taking care of chores around the house, its worth the extra to have it do things for you. It’s not as intelligent though as initially thought in terms of how well it understands you due to the functionality limitations. Supposedly that list of possibilities are growing over time though.

WE LOVE IT!

We use it multiple times a day for everything from streaming music to asking questions about celebrity's and even using it as a cooking timer. I also use it to remind me once weekly that's it's trash day. lol

But if you have already started using Google Assistant based devices then this is something you could give away as a gift like I did when I received it for free by purchasing a ring camera simply because ring and Echo products are on both by Amazon. And just to reiterate if I was using the Amazon Echo ecosystem I would have kept the device.
