We already have several devices in our home i was adding items to the grocery list out loud and she wasn’t in the room. Kid took one to college. This device is kind of expensive but so easy to use. I love pulling up the app in the grocery and seeing the list. The kids put stuff on the list and it’s all in one place. Love Not having to yell for the kids in the house. I can just make announcements and drop into rooms. I set alarms. Kids use it all the time for music and weather. Like getting real time weather alerts and package notifications.

I am truly impressed with the sound this little device can put out! I have the original Echo device and the sound on it was excellent. I would not put the quality of the bass on the dot compared to the Echo but not bad, not bad!

This is such a fun and useful gadget to have in your home. My grandkids love to play with Alexa, ask her question and joke with her. I love her in the kitchen to ask the weather, check my calendar, etc while my coffe is brewing.

The echo dot is easy to set up and very convenient to use to get needed information I. e. Getting weater and sports updates. I use it with an external bluetooth speaker to play music since my main system recently went down. One thing the echo dot does well is put out good clear music for such a small unit. Only con is trying to play the unit speaker while paired to 1 external speaker.

The setup was very straightforward. In terms of its operation, the device has excellent sound for its size, great connectivity to third party apps and excellent understanding of what you say to it. Can't recommend it enough.

This product is a perfect addition to our home. Easy setup. Works perfect. Takes up little space. Opens up a new experience for us.

Hey there! I recently picked up the Alexa Echo Dot and I'm loving it. Incredibly useful. It's a compact smart speaker that's great for controlling my smart home devices and getting quick info like the weather forecast. The voice recognition is super accurate and it's super convenient to use. The sound quality is fine, but it's not going to blow you away if you're a serious music listener. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone looking to add voice control to their home.

This newer model of the Echo Dot is amazing! Extremely cheap yet the speakers sound amazing!

Took advantage of the pair for $50. We have an Amazon show in the kitchen. We use these in the bedrooms. They work great for info, weather, news etc. Good for music. As an alarm. Work with voice calling with your smart phone.

Love the convince of an Echo Dot for music, talk radio, controlling my lights, robot vacuum, etc. So easy to use & set up. Group them and music plays all over the house.

While this is larger than the previous Echo Dot, the rubber like material on top and the mesh wrap around is a step up. The sound quality and increase in volume level is what I found to be the biggest improvement... That said, I feel that there is no true mid level volume. My experience is that if I’m looking for that “sweet spot” it doesn’t exist, as it’s either quieter than I would like it to be or louder than I would like it to be. I did purchase two Dots for one room for the purpose of stereo sound. This is where I believe Amazon fell short. For the last few years, I have been able to use a pair of very inexpensive Bluetooth wireless speakers at the same time for listening to music from my cell phone & laptop. With the Dot, you are limited as to what will play in stereo and what won’t. I feel as if I have taken a step back in time with respect to technology as relates to this issue. My only other hope for future Dots is that they make them waterproof. Again, I have wireless Bluetooth speakers that I can attach via suction cup to my shower wall. I’d like to be able to take advantage of the smart home I’ve created, forged on the foundation of the Echo Dot when I’m in the shower, or anywhere there might be water. Bottom line, for the price you can’t beat it. Amazon has made improvements. I am hoping for refinements with the next generation Dot.

Great product. No problem getting started. Very easy to use. I love how one can listen to music. I also have a smart plug so I can control my lights.

I bought this for a white elephant event gift for the holidays and the person who got it tells me that it is a great addition to the home its loud enough to hear from across the house and very easy to set up.

Great for your home, office or room. It is very loud. Has a loud quality sound with decent bass. It is very responsive to voice commands. An overall good quality product for the price.

Good sound for a small speaker. Love Alexa and the ease of use in streaming audio. Also have it hooked up to turn my tv on and off... fun! I actually have 3 situated throughout the house.

Easy way to find information or play music. Adapts to other products which lets you control with your voice which is pretty cool

The sound quality is excellent and the ease of use is remarkable. You will have to program Alexa to perform tasks, but though the app, it is relatively easy to do. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

this thing puts out a pretty good level of sound. Often times I'll simply use this device instead of my sound bar. If you aren't huge into bass but like a good sound...this is a great product.
