I primarily use the Echo Dot in the bedroom. I play podcasts a lot. I also set the alarm, sleep timer and random music stations. Very cool. This Dot has much better sound quality than the older Dot I have in the bathroom. Heck, this thing even turns on my TV down stairs and puts the volume to my desired level. Got to love that. I really enjoy my Echo Dots I have. Recently we even picked up a couple Dots with the clocks on them and an Echo Show. Very cool stuff! If I had to find a complaint, I would say it is the microphone sensitivity. When I make my bed, sometimes I pull the blankets up and the wind makes the Dot go silent. Or if I set something on my night stand near it, and it makes a noise, it will make the Dot go silent. It happens enough where it bothers me, but not enough to make me unhappy. Other than that, this is pretty darn cool and we all enjoy them.

I love my new amazon echo dot! I can listen to music with the sound of my voice.

if your like me who loves tech then this is great for you. i am able to connect it to my tv so am able to change channels, volume, pause, play,rewind and turn tv on and off. as for my lamps, i have smart kasa TP-link bulbs and it works perfect with them i have echo dots in both new york and Florida and all of them is under account so am able to control things in both places even tho am in new york.
