It was easy to set up and works great. The sound quality was very good for its size, and it syncs with a lot of my smart home devices. Well worth it.

This is a great, very small size speaker with Alexa, that was easy to set-up and operate. I have it hooked up to several of my devices and love it!

I love my echo dots I have one in each room of my house and it makes it a lot easier to communicate with my children in other rooms rather than yelling for them across the house. It also has great sound quality. The only problem I have with it so far is that sometimes it freezes up and I can't get a response so I have to reset the whole device.

I have had an Alexa and Echo Dot since they were released. The problem with the dot was the lack of a speaker. The gen 3 now has the speaker included. This device is a good price point (often included free with other smart devices) for adding functionality to rooms around the house. You can extend your control of lights and devices and truly make your home a connected smart home.

We love this!! Wish we bought one sooner!! Love using it to listen to music, check facts, get game score when can't watch game, and make shopping lists. Easy to set up and add devices to such as lamps and plugs!! Love it!!

Love my echo dot. When you play your music it sounds great! I highly recommend it! It also doesn't take up alot of counter space.

Received the echo with Ring doorbell cam as part of Xmas promotion bundle. If you are looking for a simple device that is discreet with a great speaker this is for you. You can access Alexa ..Spotify etc

The sound is better. The fabric cover looks nice. The one problem is some auxiliary manufacturers have made devices like clocks that allow the dot to fit inside and work together, but they'll only connect with 2nd generation Dots. This third generation has eliminated that option. I wish Amazon would once again give their Dots the flexibility to work with more devices.

The echo is great, it will play music based off what your interested in and adjusts to what you like. Pairing it with the smart plugs is great, makes it easy to just tell alexa to turn off the lights from different rooms.

Great little supplement for our kitchen area. Nice and small with good sound and ease of use!

Works great! Easy to use! Love it. I bought it at best buy which had the best price and no lines. Fast and easy purchase. Now using it to control lights and play music. Should have gotten it sooner.

Awesome little device. Easily accesses my music library and film library. Sets wake alarms and turns on/off other devices.

Have 3 of these through out the house and like being able to request information from any room. The sound and speaker quality has improved with this generation and it looks better than the earlier models.

This is my first smart device. Alexa was easy to set up & came with a lot of freebies, like Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, Amazon Reading & Audiobooks. I'll have to cancel in a month though, but it s a good taste to sample and keep what I like. I've downloaded games, word of the day, the news etc. it is endless. I could spend the whole day telling Alexa what to do, but I mostly use her for music and answering questions. I find that she doesn't know a lot, so if you're a kid, she can't do your homework, only basic question and answers. She can be connected to smart dimmers, light bulbs etc, but I have yet to buy and connect those things. So, right now, echo is pretty fantastic. She is a great hostess at parties, adjusting the music to my guests' tastes & preferences.

The Echo Dot is a great product. I use it mostly to turn my light on and off in my room. I have used it to listen to music and as an alam clock.

My family absolutely loves the convenience and the amount of variety of information you can get from the echo dot. In addition, it takes up very little space and has a great sound.

I originally bought 2 dots for my new house just to see what they were all about. I had them for roughly a week and decided to get 2 more to put in other rooms. Out of the box they are very simple to get set up and started and the app is easy to navigate. I have all of them linked so I can listen to music throughout the house, I have connected some to speakers because the sound quality for music isn’t great, but it isn’t advertised to be. I’ve bought some of the plugs since and plan on getting lights soon as well. If you want something to control your music, set up a morning routine (tell you weather, news, drive time to work, and play a custom playlist you choose), control lights, tv (if you have a smart tv), and just ask random questions, for sure get one!

This would be my second echo I buy and its amazing what it can do with giving it commands. From playing music to turning on lights. Also tells me when someone is at the door. Don't know what I'd do without it.

The Echo Dot with Alexa is great for listening to music, books, and shutting lights off. She is hooked into our ring cameras and alerts us when there is movement. I would recommend this device.

Choosing an environment is not an obvious decision as both Alexa's and Google's devices have it's pros and cons. Alexa is better for smart home automation thanks to the routines and flexibility, but Google is much better for entertainment. While Google can cast to a Chromecast from Netflix, Youtube and others, Alexa can't. Google can also play music from Youtube music (in case you have Youtube Premium or Youtube Music) which Alexa doesn't do. The internet search is also much better in Google devices. The main cons in Google devices are that for home automation you usually need 3rd party apps, such as IFTT, which require a subscription to work.
