We enjoy our Dot and use it a lot for Amazon Music. This version is much nicer than the versions from years ago. It's design is more sleek and the speaker is a little better. It seems more durable.

Easy to set up. Great for listening to stations all over the US and books and music from your phone.

Was never a big fan of the idea of a device always listening to what’s going on. But after using it a friends house to turn the lights on and off, my lazy butt was sold. Living in an older home without ceiling light/switches, we have to do with a lot of lamps. So smart plug and problem solved. One issue is that if you have multiple units as I do. In living room and in bed room. You can’t differentiate general commands. For example I can’t say lights on in bedroom as I do in living room because those were the first I set up. I had to name specific lights in bedroom. Like nightlight or tall lamp. Which after some searching I found is a common larger issue when using multiple units. But with one, no prob. Also make sure the device you are looking to connect to the echo(alexa) will do so directly and not through a hub. Made that mistake a few times... don’t always believe that “works with Alexa” means additional devices not need. Buyer beware. Speaker not that great either. Glad it came as free item. Wouldn’t pay for it. Considering the amount of information it’s collecting and selling. (Which is in the terms and condition FYI)

Feel up to date now. The Echo Dot is a good choice for the amount of smart household item we have, which is not many and the price is right. Like having SiriusXM radio on demand. Easy to pair with the Ring Doorbell.

Bought for my 86 year old dad....he LOVES it! Easy to set up, great sound.

Super handy I ask Alexa the time when I wake up rather than searching for my phone now. It has a great speaker and works really well I have no complaints.

Excellent sound and functionality when factoring cost. Like the compact size and speed which device responds to verbal commands

Echo dot three has much better sound and more reliable that echo 2. I really don't have anything negative to report as it is working very well to control the many devices I have from several different manufactures.

The echo dot gets the job done, and is surprisingly louder than I thought it was going to be, does not need a separate speaker source if just using in a single room. Over all great product, and smooth setup.

I bought this primarily for an alarm each morning that you don’t have to setbamd wakes you with music. I use it at night for rain or ocean sounds to sleep to. And she answers any question you might have.

Definitely a great buy. I got it for free with the tv I brought. I really like it very easy to set up. Can play music, set your calendar and a lot. To much to name but it basically does everything.

Definitely an improvement from the 1st generation. I like the size and it works with the Bluetooth light.. which was free with purchase..Great volume

Love this little guy. May be slightly difficult to set up, if you're not familiar with the Alexa app. Sounds great. Love the idea of connection multiple size Echo speakers. Wish it had a battery. Think they are available as a secondary purchase. If it did, I'd give 5 stars.

Easy set up, works right out of the box. A fun addition -- play music, get weather, set as a timer and many other uses.

I had recently traded in an Amazon echo for the one with a screen. I was able to get this Dot free with a Toshiba TV purchase I made and really like it. It is small and does everything I need it for.

Great product. I have bought one for my whole family. My Grandma loves it. The product can make phone call, turn off lights, turns smart tv off and on, plays music. Pretty cool.

We have 2 echo dots in our home and they are great. We mostly use them to play music, set alarms, ask for temperature updates, check time, and call to them from the app. It is a great product.

I love my echo dot, I use it to listen to music ask general questions, control other smart devices, play music, make phone calls, it’s amazing what that little thing can do!
