I had an old am/fm alarm clock radio. I kept it because it was the only clock in the house that had the automic clock. So if you lost power, it would automatically set the time. However, the sound was awful. I would take the Echo I had in the bedroom and would plug it it in the bathroom while I showered. I'm not sure Alexa likes to move so much, because it didn't wouldn't work so well. I didn't want to spend the money on another tower. After reading the improvement on the sound, plus it had the clock. I know you can ask Alexa the time, but nothing is easier then just look. Therefore, I am very happy. If you ask her the weather, she will show the tempreature on her too. So it is everything I wanted.

Was initially against but fun for the whole family

It sat in the box for several days before we got it out but I am glad we did. If for no other reason than to have a speaker in the kitchen we can listen to music on. The kids like asking it random questions and requesting their favorite tunes. Easy to use and fun to have around.
