I wanted to add Alexa to my house - I had one of the original Echo Dots and used it sparingly. I'll admit that I wasn't nuts about the always-on listening device. But I took a stab and ordered one of these and am very pleased with the purchase. The sound quality is much better than the first generation, and it definitely meets my requirement to play podcasts and have them sound "not tinny". The fact that Alexa can integrate a skill that links to Apple music is a definitely plus too. Bottom line, if you don't mind (or can get over) the constant "listening in" and are a member of the Amazon ecosystem, this is a great device for the cost.

This is my 2nd echo I own and also have the show. I love All Amazon Alexa products. So easy to use and the speaker is pretty good.

I love it! It plays all my music clearly. It can be heard all around my apartment. Its small so l can put it anywhere in my home. It was definitely worth it.

Helps with basically everything. From alarms, to misic to sounds for sleeping

Works very well. Picks up voice from a good distance. Easy to connect and use. Sometimes it gets difficult for it to pick up voice while it's also producing audio.

Better sound than first GEN. Still small and looks just as good. Multiple colors to pick from to help it from becoming an eyesore Just go buy it so the government can listen to you

We have so much fun with Alexa. She gives us information and is very helpful. This smart speaker is quite clear and easy to install.

So simple to use and connect to device. I love the new sound of the 3rd gen. I had 2nd and loved it. The sound upgrade alone was worth the buy. I purchased one for each of my family members.

Really I would give this a 4.5. It has excellent abilities but still has a bit of trouble understanding what you say. It also reacts to all the comercials on TV and out of the blue with some really strange things. That being said I like the way google responds you have to say hey google to wake it up and it has more of a repitoire than alexa. I have these in every room and have all my home as a smart home. Alexa controls the whole house and it can be done from anywhere. I also have sent a dot to my grandkids and we can talk whenever they like. I need to get them a screen but cannot see spending 200.00 and then they break it. I love it and would recommend it to everyone

Super slick product. Set up is a breeze. Connects easily with Amazon services and third-party music providers. Asking Alexa questions bring lots of laughs.

I was blown away on how loud and clear this little speaker is. Of course you won’t get deep bass, but it’s still nice and is able to pick up your voice from across the room.

For $20 on sale this was 100% worth it. Got it around black Friday and have used it without issue since. If your looking for an alexa for your bedroom and plan on keeping it on a nightstand by your bed I would recommend the Eco Show. It has a screen so it’s perfect for watching anything if you like to fall asleep with sound. The Eco dot is great for the price though

This is the second echo dot I own. It is a little bigger than the older generation. It pairs very easily

Needed something for my secondary bathroom we don't use very often for just in case. The sound actually sounds pretty good and this was VERY affordable.

Alexa has been a member of our family now for almost 11 months. She has answers for us on demand. However her answers are not always the best. She has difficulty understanding things consistently. She is However a great remote control for our lighting.

I got this after I got an Echo Show for Christmas. I placed this in another room in my house. I love the sound when playing music, very easy to set up, quality is great.

She has played music, trivia games, gotten news off of it, weather and I'm sure there's much more she'll figure out. She was very pleased when She got this Christmas gift!!

Easy to set up. Super useful for weather, as a timer, to play music etc. I have 4 in my home and love to give these as gifts!
