This product makes life so much easier as you can get information, play music, or get up to date weather information. I love it I bought several to place around the house.

I primarily use this as a bluetooth speaker for music with the occasional command to see what the weather will be today. Alexa is very responsive, and the quality of the sound is surprisingly good. Plus I think the design is pretty sleek. I received this as a free gift when purchasing my Ring doorbell.

I am at the beginning stages of making my home a little smarter. I absolutely love my Amazon-Echo Dot. So much, that I have the Echo Plus and 2 Dots. I am on my way!!!!

Very good speaker, only drawback is no battery so has to be plugged in all the time to use. Sounds good

Sound quality is the best I've heard on a speaker of this size!!! Definitely worth paying a little extra for this one over the 2nd generation model. I'm not going to discuss the functionality as there's tons of info already out there. One important note: If you set up the Alexa app on your phone, IT WILL IMPORT ALL OF YOUR PHONE CONTACTS. I didn't think I gave it permission to do so but Alexa did indeed import my contacts! You may have read stories how, WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE, Alexa can record what's being said in your home and then send it to ANY or ALL of those contacts! Yikes! And, I won't want any of my kids to accidentally send messages to or call people on my contact list. So, if you want to keep your contacts from Alexa and prevent that from happening here's how I did it: Before installiing the Alexa app on your phone, export your contacts to a file and save it for later. Then, go back to the phone and delete those contacts (don't worry, you'll import them back in later). Now, install the Alexa app on your phone and go through the set up process. At some point, you'll have the option to allow Alexa to automatically import any additions to your contacts. Please "disable" that option. After you're done with the installation, you'll notice there are no contacts in your Alexa app! Now, you can import your contacts back into your phonebook using the file that you initially created and you're good to go! If you already installed the app but want to delete your contacts from Alexa, it's not too late. Simply export your phone contacts to a file and save for later. Then, delete the contacts from your phone. Now, open the Alexa app and click "Contacts." On the Contacts page, click on "Import Contacts" and enable it by moving the button to the right side. This will cause Alexa to replace your existing contacts with the now empty phonebook. After a few minutes, your Alexa contacts will be gone. Go back and disable "Import Contacts" to prevent Alexa from importing them in the future. You can now import the contact file that you created back into your phone. Of course there may be some contacts you do want to use with Alexa. I simply added them manually by clicking "Add Contact." I hope this info is helpful as I wasn't able to find an easy way to manage Alexa contacts.

Clear sound and responds nicely. Easy setup and management with the Alexa App. Use it to control Lights and many other things using your voice.

This echo dot is super cool. You can tell it do do almost anything and it can tell you it by speaking to you! Like what!!!! Crazy!!!!

Where have you been all my life? This is a great product to have in every home. I love it for setting alarms, requesting different songs and a bedtime sound machine.

Good sound. Alexa is great. Has a lot of useful features. Want to be reminded to do something the next day at a certain time? Alexa will do that for you.

If you are like me and you'd like better sound quality than the small speaker in this puck-sized device (not that it sounds terrible), you can easily hook this up to a receiver or amplifier with a Y-splitter style RCA cable (it has a standard headphone plug on one end and the red and white RCA jacks on the other). This works perfectly, you just have to coordinate the volume between the device and your receiver or amplifier.

It syncs with my Echo and plays when they play if I want it. It's small but packs a good punch and great for a small space or room. It's simply an incredible device.

I purchased the Ring Doorbell at Best Buy and the Echo Dot was included with the purchase. Thanks Best Buy! I love my Echo Dot! All you need to do is plug it in, get the app on your phone and follow the prompts. I ask Alexa silly questions, I ask her to play music, tell me jokes, set up my alarm, set up reminders, I ask for the weather, the time, etc. love it!

This was a gift from Best Buy after purchasing the ring alarm system. This was our first Alexa and let’s just say we fell in love and now have one in every room of the house. She makes life so much easier. It’s convenient to have one in the kitchen to set timers while cooking and she also turns on and off our TVs so no more searching for remote in the middle of the night. It was very easy to install just plug it in and download the app. The speaker on the Alexa is great too for playing music in the house.

Pretty easy to setup, capable of doing whatever you need after you program routines and apps. Sound is decent, can be paired with multiple units.

Very impressed with this new generation of the Echo Dot. The sound is amazing the re-design is beautiful. Would highly recommend this product to anyone who loves Echo products.

Love the echo dot. Easy setup to connect to WiFi and usually picks up all commands. Also sleek design is nice since the OG Alexa is pretty tall.

I've been kicking and screaming into the digital age. Love physical media however this thing is fantastic. Sounds great, is easy to use for adults and kids.

Purchased as a gift for my niece and she loves it. Nice sound and personal assistant in a very small package. The sale price makes this a very good value.
