Awesome compact speaker. Volume reach is great in our house. Easy to hide from kids, but once they know “Alexa off” it’s a game changer when your favorite song is playing.

This product makes life so much easier as you can get information, play music, or get up to date weather information. I love it I bought several to place around the house.

Love the echo dot. Easy setup to connect to WiFi and usually picks up all commands. Also sleek design is nice since the OG Alexa is pretty tall.

I primarily use this as a bluetooth speaker for music with the occasional command to see what the weather will be today. Alexa is very responsive, and the quality of the sound is surprisingly good. Plus I think the design is pretty sleek. I received this as a free gift when purchasing my Ring doorbell.

I bought the echo dot when it was on sale, already have the big echo. I really like them both, they have good sound, especially for music. The echo dot is small enough you can put it just about any where.I would buy it again.

I am at the beginning stages of making my home a little smarter. I absolutely love my Amazon-Echo Dot. So much, that I have the Echo Plus and 2 Dots. I am on my way!!!!

Where have you been all my life? This is a great product to have in every home. I love it for setting alarms, requesting different songs and a bedtime sound machine.

As would be expected with any of the Amazon Echo products, this Echo Dot works well and is a favorite tool for the whole family. The Alexa app sensed it straight away and made it a breeze to set up. The main reason we bought this was to be able to play the same music on all Echo Dots in the house simultaneously, especially during parties. The functionality of this product seems limitless and we are very happy with it. Now if I could just get all my kid's friends to stop saying, "Alexa" every five seconds with a different command...

Sound quality is the best I've heard on a speaker of this size!!! Definitely worth paying a little extra for this one over the 2nd generation model. I'm not going to discuss the functionality as there's tons of info already out there. One important note: If you set up the Alexa app on your phone, IT WILL IMPORT ALL OF YOUR PHONE CONTACTS. I didn't think I gave it permission to do so but Alexa did indeed import my contacts! You may have read stories how, WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE, Alexa can record what's being said in your home and then send it to ANY or ALL of those contacts! Yikes! And, I won't want any of my kids to accidentally send messages to or call people on my contact list. So, if you want to keep your contacts from Alexa and prevent that from happening here's how I did it: Before installiing the Alexa app on your phone, export your contacts to a file and save it for later. Then, go back to the phone and delete those contacts (don't worry, you'll import them back in later). Now, install the Alexa app on your phone and go through the set up process. At some point, you'll have the option to allow Alexa to automatically import any additions to your contacts. Please "disable" that option. After you're done with the installation, you'll notice there are no contacts in your Alexa app! Now, you can import your contacts back into your phonebook using the file that you initially created and you're good to go! If you already installed the app but want to delete your contacts from Alexa, it's not too late. Simply export your phone contacts to a file and save for later. Then, delete the contacts from your phone. Now, open the Alexa app and click "Contacts." On the Contacts page, click on "Import Contacts" and enable it by moving the button to the right side. This will cause Alexa to replace your existing contacts with the now empty phonebook. After a few minutes, your Alexa contacts will be gone. Go back and disable "Import Contacts" to prevent Alexa from importing them in the future. You can now import the contact file that you created back into your phone. Of course there may be some contacts you do want to use with Alexa. I simply added them manually by clicking "Add Contact." I hope this info is helpful as I wasn't able to find an easy way to manage Alexa contacts.

I honestly do not like these items, and have avoided buying for a few years. For the cost, they are quite impressive. Voice recognition and speed of response is really good, sound volume and quality is much better than a tablet/phone. I only purchased as a way for the kids to listen to music playlists without having a screen nearby, which it functions very well (essentially any bluetooth speaker requires using the device). Also, if you aren't aware, there are some 3rd party rechargeable batteries you can buy that make the unit portable.

It syncs with my Echo and plays when they play if I want it. It's small but packs a good punch and great for a small space or room. It's simply an incredible device.

Easy to use, simple to set up. Sound quality is amazing and easily hung with double sided mounting tape! Perfect for the bathroom or other small areas!

Amazon dot was everything I expected. Very easy to set up and used. The price was right.

The Amazon Echo Dot 3rd Gen was part of a purchase for a Ring Video Doorbell. It was a promo included with the purchase. At first I wasn't sure that I would use it but found out after install that is is very useful. Set up with the Alexa APP was simple and quick. So far I have asked Alexa several questions with quick and accurate response as well as using the alarm and asking Alexa to play music. No more looking up on the internet if I need a quick answer to a question or as simple as checking the temperature. I might consider a second purchase in the future.

Bought these for kids for Christmas and bought some more for the adults, easy to use and interact with. Love starting my day out to music with a few simple words

Purchased as a gift for my niece and she loves it. Nice sound and personal assistant in a very small package. The sale price makes this a very good value.
