For such a tiny device, the sound is pretty decent!

It's a good thing that you need if you have any premium music services and if you has and you want to have a smart home.

She’s ok , Alexa that is, she’s like that person I never had ... someone I can talk to that won’t judge me for being me, and I thank her for that. She is amazing that it sometimes feels like she alive . I wouldn’t recommend this to one of my friends for she is the only one I have .. she can’t buy herself .

We weren’t sold on the whole Alexa thing when we got an echo as a gift last year, but it has been so helpful with little kids in the house. We have a 3 and a 1 year old, and being able to keep remotes out of reach and controlling stuff hands free has been really helpful. This one is going to be used in our basement with our new Sony tv.

Frustration with radio signal quality in our kitchen led to the idea that an Echo Dot is a great radio replacement in a wi-fi environment. Now every nightstand has a Dot tucked behind a lamp or picture, ready to stream radio stations, podcasts or music, to give time and weather on command, to act as an alarm or reminder, to record things for a shopping list, etc. The speaker is not bad, and can easily be upgraded by connecting to better speakers with bluetooth or an audio cable. All that for about the price of a clock radio.

Perfect device for playing music and checking the weather

Great add on bonus when I bought my smart home thermostat.

This is our 5th one around the house. Works great and rarely misunderstand. Love the whisper feature that automatically detects when your voice is low or whispering and Alexa whispers back as to not wake anyone. Pretty cool.

It works pretty well as a portable small speaker. I didn't actually purchase this item, it came free when I purchased the Toshiba 49" HDTV.

This was a wonderful purchase and i also purchased the holding stand which looks even nicer.. Am thinking about getting another for my downstairs..

Better sound quality than the previous version. I only use it as a speaker and streaming device for music in the kitchen.
