My Echo Dot 3 has all the previous capabilities plus much better sound. Like previous Dots, it easy to set up. And, for the slightly higher price is worth it for better sound.

This works amazingly, installation was easy and quick. Sound quality is perfect for a small places at least for 1BR, doesn't occupy much space. Overall I like it very much.

The 3rd generation combines the best features of the original full-sized Amazon Echo (great sound) with the smaller, more accessible size of the 2nd-generation Echo dot (that had fairly poor quality sound) into a package that is both compact and affordable, but can still fill a room with surprisingly good sound.

It’s small so it doesn’t take up any space but just as effected as one larger in size. Great voice recognition and fun to play with also works as a great speaker with your music! Lets you know about your amazon orders, progress and many other things around you.. a definite recommendation.

It works very well for us. It was easy to set up with different people in the house. The music plays at whatever level you ask it. I'm happy with my purchase

Pretty much the same echo dot but looks a whole lot nicer. Does not take up a lot of space and gets the job done. Pair with a nice Bluetooth speaker and you have a winner!

this was half price so we gave it a try easy set up and works great sounds very good with samsung and sonos speakers will purchase more still learning what you can do

good sound for a normal room and good size for small areas

First time I tried Alexa and very impressive! This is one of the best and really can understand what I am talking about and able to play the songs! really enjoying the product!

I purchased this for my mother for Christmas. She is not tech savvy and she loves it. She just tells Alexa what she wants to listen to and it plays the music.

A little bummed the clock isn't displayed but the sound and range quality is amazing! Volume gets loud and sound is crisp.

Just plug and install the app. it that easy Got it free with the ring doorbell. I like this product give me time weather and play music from my favorite app.

We got this as part of a purchase promo and I really didn't expect much from it. It was a pleasant surprise - the ease of set up and sound quality are top notch.

Control various devices just by asking Alexa! And gives you information quickly and efficiently. It's a gadget you dont know you need until you don't have it! Simple home automation with select and additional devices (smart hubs). On the privacy issue... well you're either on board or your not. So if you're reading the reviews just get it! You wont be disappointed. If you dont want it to listen to a conversation it has a mute button which disables the microphone and lets you know it's on mute with a red ring light. Or just unplug it! Sound is good too for such a small speaker, bluetooth enabled.

Great sound and easy to set up and use. You have to download the Amazon Alexa App first to your phone but after that, set up was painless.

We like them around the house to help out with the little things like weather and play music in different rooms. Easy to link with smart plugs and bulbs throughout the house.

i love the echo dot. it allows me to get information without typing it in on a keyboard. It also is great for reminding me of things i might forget and setting wake up alarms
