Amazon's Echo Dot looks good and sounds great. With vastly improved audio, it's now a distinctly better smart speaker than the Google Home Mini, and can replace the larger $99 Echo for less picky folks. That makes it our Editor's Choice for entry-level smart speakers.

Love it! First time buying it, to used it super easy and to set up. Small size to take it every where and super loud amazing I'll recommend to buy one.

started with one dot.. now I have in 5 rooms. Great sound.. and love simple.. voice command to listen to cool jazz, my stones or just get updates.

I use these for music and to control my smart home. I have several of these and the echos shows throughout my house. Easy to use and work great.

Easy to setup and use. love how well connected to other devices these have become. My gripe is with Amazon music - each time you request any song, you get the timeshare pitch about upgrading (with a monthly fee) to get the exact music you want. Otherwise, all good.

Such a simple device that can do so much. We have four in our home, and I use one at work to play music. I find myself, along with other coworkers, blabbing to Alexa or asking her ridiculous things, most of which she has an answer for. My only gripe is I can’t name her whatever I want. But the device works great, and sound quality is fine enough to stream music all day long, or easily play my apple music via bluetooth. Go ahead and get the smart outlets to control lights or lamps or whatever you fancy. Connected to our nest thermostat, our garage door opener, camera system, maybe more. Alexa can do it all!

Works great. They are nice little speakers that blend in great with decor. They also work with Ring system. I also caught them on sale.

I swore I would nt use it! But this Alexa thing is great! Easy to operate and love listening to music and controlling my TV hands free. Imp a convert!

I got an echo through a promotion a while back. We use them all the time now to play music throughout the house so I purchased more. They sound great and are soo user friendly. I bought cases for them that plug in and hold them on the wall. I also love the charcoal color.

This is much better than the first gen model: speaker is louder and fuller in fidelity, more responsive to voice, and speak in design.

Easy to navigate and great product for random use in the home. My kids as questions for school and simple curiosities. Love to use this for pandora and cooking timers!

I bought this to replace a second generation dot. It seems to have better speakers than the second gen. also a little larger in size I am very satisfied with it.

I have both the 2nd generation of the Dot and now the 3rd generation. The 3rd gen improves upon the 2nd in almost every way. The look of the 3rd gen is much nicer than that of the previous model. The cloth and matte finish on the top look far classier than the previous model with its fingerprint prone shiny surfaces. Most importantly, the sound quality has been greatly improved. While this will never rival the larger Echo products in volume or sound quality, compared to last years model, it is night and day different. The audio sounds much more rich and intelligible. Listening to music, radio, or podcasts are much more enjoyable and far less tinny than with the older Dot. For those that have a 2nd gen Dot, I would not upgrade if you don't use it for music, radio, or have it hooked to a stereo or set of speakers. But, if you use it regularly relying on the internal speakers for music, podcasts, etc, I would definitely consider upgrading. Especially if you can get it on one of Amazon's many sales.

I love this product. This compact size is easy to place in any part of my apartment and also easy to pack when I travel. The sound is excellent.
