This is a good entry-level Echo which opens you to the world of Alexa. Good sound quality and can be used from across the room.

I love Alexa so much! So many things you can do! My favorite part is telling her to turn on my lamp light and turning off my room light, so I can still see to get in bed and not have to keep getting up or forgetting to turn the light out!

Love these Echo dots. Great for home automation or just listening to music. Use them to control my Sonos system

Got the Insignia 58" black Friday deal with the free for. Already have 5 dots throughout the house but can do them in the rooms now. No complaints here and the Heather Gray color is awesome.

Got it free with a tv I purchased. I knew nothing about the product. Now that I figured it out it's a fun little device to have.

I really didn't think I wanted one of these but since I read technical stuff and I have the books on kindle, I can have it read the section for me and read along with it mark areas I need to review or comment on and pause Alexa. You have to get used to the voice and the reading pace and of course IV is not 4 but ivy.

Bought this after getting two others as gifts. This version has a much richer sound than previous generations. Happy with purchase.

You download the application and then they link up and you’re set. My parents’ accent don’t matter much to her. Loves it

Hestitantely we added this to our bonus room, it was nice to have Alexa play holiday music on demand, or ask the scores of sports games.

This is nice device to have for an office or maybe a nursery. It does basic functions like play music or search the web.

The sound quality is much better than the second gen/version. They say 70% better and it definitely is significantly better. This one is similar to google home mini and just as easy to use.

Much improved over the 2nd gen. Great small footprint. However, I would opt for the regular size Echo over this. The regular sized one picks up my voice without yelling and the speaker is much better than on this echo dot. Still a great product if you are looking for a more affordable or smaller echo device.

Works well, good quick source for info. It has a hard time deciphering my accent sometimes, but overall nice.

Cool device but sometimes has a hard time understanding people. Generally people who mumble or have accents. I don’t like keeping this on 24/7 though because I don’t feel comfortable with the device listening constantly. So I turn it off but then forget to turn back on. So it’s a great device with cool features but obviously not a necessity for me like the smart plugs because it’s been off for awhile now and I forgot about it.
