Got this and gifted to my mother for her apartment. Since we use our Alexa on a daily basis, we figured she would too. It was an absolute game changer for her. Made daily life for her easier and now she’s buying products that talk to Alexa to help control her home.

its okay if you dont mind something listening to you all the time. would not recommend for those with paranoia issues.

This purchase is definitely pure pleasure ,because of it's varied capabilities. I enjoy playing music, asking general questions (such as the next days weather, historical facts, sports related, etc ) and the overall entertainment value of this Amazon Echo Dot .!

We already have three Echo Dot's and a first generation Echo so I wasn't expecting anything new with this one. However I was pleasantly surprised by the audio output of the third generation Echo Dot, it sounds much fuller and richer. Aesthetically it's also a much nicer looking unit and tends to blend it more.

I liked this better than google mini in design and color indicators. The speaker is better with some bass also which is totally missing in google mini. Volume wise google mini takes the point . Good for people with prime membership to utilize it to full potential .

Added this as an additional dot in the house. Easy to communicate between them and easy to integrate into existing devices.

A new look for the 3rd generation. Same Alexa. Works good in the kids room. The kids love asking alexa questions and playing games.

I've had a fair share of defective Echo dots since Best Buy ran their promotion of Fire TVs with Echo dots. Best Buy has a fantastic return policy if you get a defective item. However, Amazon still has a bit to go when it comes to tweaking the software for these devices. I literally have had two of them completely go mute. They would light up as if they were acknowledging your commands, but no audio or execution of actions would result. Overall great technology just needs some fine-tuning.

Overall great device. No complaints. Works well in addition to our other Alexa devices.

You can't beat this technology for the price. Ask Alexa just about anything and get an answer within a second. If you wake up in the middle of the night ask Alexa what time is it ? Get full weather reports. Set reminders and alarms. You can do shopping lists, play games and a million other things. Love Alexa...

This is the basic speaker with Alexa built in. It's a good Speaker for those wanting to try it out for the first time.

Amazon Alexa is great as always! We use it for “Thunderstorm” sounds at night time during sleep. Also for any important weather updates as well.

This was the 3rd Echo Dot (3rd generation) for our family, and it didn’t turn out well due to it not connecting to our WiFi. We had to return it and get the newer (4th generation) Dot as a replacement. The new one has been trouble free and works as expected!

This has made it easy to find what I want to watch, listen to music and general questions. It's been fun to play with.

I already have 2 of these, this one was free with a tv on Black Friday. I use them to control lights around the house.

To be small the music sounds crispy and clear including the bass. Speakers like this one could replace my living room stereo system.
