Have one on each floor now and use it as an intercom to send messages within house. Speaker is pretty good with this 3rd gen, but still sounds a little boxy. I have 1 dot connected to a bluetooth speaker for when I want to listen to music for longer durations.

Tends to randomly drop its wifi connection. Sometimes for a few seconds other times I have to unplug to reset. Sound quality okay up to volume 7, any higher and it gets a lot of distortion.

They love being able to stream music and control their lights. (Got the bundle with the Singled bulbs) We love the intercom feature. I also put one in my office, so now every room is connected.

It works very well with smart plug and even can connect to your car. It can hears from far away and the speaker quality is very good.

Perfect gift for a friend!

So a win for me for bringing it. Also, a few weeks later, my friend that won it told me she loves it and still uses it everyday.
