The new Amazon Echo Dots really show they're meant for music. After buying my grandmother one for the far-field microphones, I was finally able to hear how they really sound. I must say, it was better than I thought. There's finally some real definition, mainly in the mids and highs but there is still a decent amount of bass. Since they can be paired together as stereo I decided to take advantage of the holiday pricing and grabbed two of them for $50. Having them set in stereo was a whole new level. Throw in the recently added Apple Music access and its absolutely perfect for my room. Theres even the Echo Sub that adds deep and rich bass that I'm considering adding to my group.

If you have the funds, go with the dot 4. Much better. Even sound is better

Purchased for my mom who is legally blind. She had trouble writing/reading her grocery list. Now she adds items on Alexa and they come to my smart phone. Also gets time and weather. Just added reminders of her doctor appts. Still finding ways to use Alexa to make her life easier.

Better than the google home Alexa does a lot more and without being set up through confusing apps very easy to use

We got our Amazon Echo Dot free with my EcoBee4 and we love it! Alexa is so nice and she does almost everything we ask of her. We just wish she would learn to feed our dogs. Otherwise, the EcoBee4 is great for reminders, lists, timers, ordering, and much more. We're so happy that we finally got one!

Superb buy. Value for money and does most of the stuff. The speaker quality is also pretty good.

We love having the echo around the house for music, asking questions, alarm, and when connected to smart plug it made it easy to turn the Christmas lights on

New improved design and sound quality is good. New power connection, not as practical as the micro USB. Not a fan of the fabric.

Nice small device that works well but speaker is not great. Need to pair it with a speaker for serious listening.

I like this AI Assistant. It is getting smarter each day by the types of questions as. I would recommend this product for those that want a compact yet efficient smart speaker for any room of the house.

Very easy setup. The sounds is excellent. Alexa very responsive. Easily pair to other Bluetooth devices. Use Alexa to control your Bluetooth enabled device.

Echo Dot came with the Amazon Fire TV - they complement each other very well. Although with satellite TV, Alexa cannot turn on the television but she can switch input methods upon voice command and is rather polite about it.

Bought this model with the clock specially to replace my old clock radio that still had a CD player as it was taking up too much space on my night stand. This works exactly as intended. I use it for my morning alarms and listening to news while I get ready for work in the mornings. I like using the voice controls to turn my bedroom lights on and off once I am in bed so I don't have to get up once I'm comfortable. This little device also has plenty of volume for casual music listening in the bedroom. I know there are many other great features I have yet to take advantage of but this works exactly as I want it to.

A great value assistant that helps automate your home and also doubles up as nice little music player.

While the 3gen Dot is not powered by USB, the more powerful power supply is probably responsible for the improved sound
