Great Sound quality and easy to use i would recommend

Alexa echo dot is very good starter assistant product to have in home. Sometimes it has issues with connecting to wifi

I have Echo/Alexa dots in four rooms. They're all different, even the two identical ones I bought at the same time at the same place. This latest one, the one I'm reviewing here, is stupid. I am serious. I have one in my living room and it is able to answer basic questions, play songs, etc., with no problems. This one is in the next room (I do not have them synced) and it doesn't seem to understand what any of us are saying without one of us having to repeat it, it sometimes pops on by itself (yes, really), and it doesn't take direction well. For example, with the one in the living room, when one of us says, "Alexa, stop," it shuts down. This newer one doesn't seem to understand we want it to be quiet until we shout at it to shut up. And yes, it's in an open area with excellent wi-fi. I don't know why the Alexa/Echo/Whatever-you-want-to-call-them are so different, but each one has a different "personality" and very different information (which seems strange) and capabilities. For the price, however, all of them have been worth it.

My parents are elderly and live in another state. I put the Echo Dots in their house and one linked to theirs in my house. Now I can talk to them anytime without having to call them and they can call me without having to pick up the phone. They can also use it to call 911 in an emergency.

I like this AI Assistant. It is getting smarter each day by the types of questions as. I would recommend this product for those that want a compact yet efficient smart speaker for any room of the house.

I bought this for my boyfriend’s son so he could have it in his game room. He loves the broadcast feature to he can be lazy and not have to walk and talk to anyone’s face, just broadcast his message throughout the house. I gave it 4/5 stars bc I personally have Google Home and think it’s better. I don’t really have anything to compare that to though. It all started as a gift I received and we built from there. This dot seems cool and these spoiled little kids are happy :)

Love being able to control lights with voice. That’s main reason I got it. Still learning its capabilities.

This was bought for my daughter and she loves it. Kinda cool little thing and cheap like 22 bucks on sale.

This is a great product. I use it more often than I thought I would. Makes me feel like I am living in the world of tomorrow. I use it to play music while I am cleaning. I play Jeopardy on it while getting ready for bed. I ask it random questions throughout the day. It is pretty awesome.

I loved how well it worked with my sons anazon fire tablet it also worked great with ny iphone playing songs and telling me what i wanted to hear only downside is its not that loud

Lots to do in such a small product. My family loves using “Alexa” for weather updates, jokes, trivia and music. We never thought we would like it as much as we do. Great sound too.

Bought this as a Xmas gift for my niece and both her and my nephews (whom seemed to have taken it over lol) love it!!

Not the newest in the lineup but works just as well as my 4th and 5th gen. Audio quality isn't perfect, but you can't get any better for the price. Alexa is still Alexa of course. Works great as an alarm clock or sleep sound machine; definitely a worthy Christmas gift for any age. If you're deciding between this or a Google Home mini (Nest Mini), choose this! I've had many smart speakers over the years and Alexa always comes out ahead.

I bought this device On Black Friday.. I was surprised how good is this amazon echo. Small but amazing... I love it ..

rchased as s gift for my parents who live out of state. Set up and use was easy for them, and they are not tech-savvy.

Have it set to lights ,radio, All wife has to do it say Alexa turn on lights or pay her songs and it does

Originally I was a little skeptical of buying an Echo Dot but made the decision to do so when I automated my swimming pool/spa with a Pentair Intellicenter Control System which boasted it could be verbally controlled. To be honest it required a little bit of a learning curve to get used to the (verbal) syntax required to make everything Alexa friendly to work seamlessly. However, after taking a couple of verbal tries and the Echo Dots (Alexa's) apparent ability to learn as you go along it definitely got easier. And now my wife and I truly enjoy control our smart home items with Alexa thru the Echo Dot. So much so that I bought a third party portable battery so that we can take Alexa outside with us while we are in the pool/spa and totally control the TV/Firestick/Pool/Spa/Music hands free. Bottom line, I should have bought an Echo Dot sooner. The only down side if there is one is that it doesn't come with an internal rechargeable battery for portability. I bought it with an Amazon Firestick combo and got an excellent combo package price!!

I bought this for my 96-year old mother to put in her bedroom -- she has an Echo Show in her family room. My hope is that she can get information easily that she wants and can make calls in case she needs me for help.
