This is the 2nd generation of this product that I have owned. I picked it up because you could make phone calls to virtually anyone, and the earlier version could not do this. What pleased me greatly was the quality of sound. No one really even knows that I am on the rough equivalent of a speakerphone when I make calls. Usually, for example, my mother complains that she cannot hear me. She is 94 and has a hearing problem, but she has yet to even figure out that I am calling from a different resource. And she has not complained about not hearing me at all. In fact, the quality of sound is so good that I play music through it and I am amazed at how good it sounds.

Came as a free with a wifi mesh router I purchased. Great little device, useful in many ways. Try asking it anything.

Echo dot is a good start in the "smart world" Kids are having fun asking questions and listening to music with our new Dot.

I love the ease of adding apps and accounts. Alexa does get confused sometimes but I just restate what I need.

Got this free with another item. Setup was easy. Still working on integrating with other smart home devices, but over happy.

Works great! I love that I have multiple of them in the house and I can use the Alexa to send a message without having to go upstairs to talk to the kids when dinner is ready all I say is Alexa tel the kids dinner is ready. The whole house hears it

Got this for my classroom. Perfect for quiet time playing spa sounds, or connecting to my computer for lessons or movies, and asking Alexa basic questions

The echo dot has been great around the holidays. It has been easy to play music, call Santa and ask holiday questions. It is also convenient when asking about the weather.

My wife loves these. We acquired five of these. They are setup in the basement,First floor and second floor.

Bought as a gift for my sister. Works great. I have two other versions, and they're awesome once you pair with other smart technology. Alexa can be a little dim at times.

Asking Alexa is easy & great! Play music, get jokes, current weather, etc.. If you haven’t bought 1, I truly recommend it!

I never had much interest in an echo then received as a Christmas gift. If you can take full advantage of the automation it seems like it will be a nice thing to have. My kids love it. They’ve already managed to get me an unwanted subscription to amazon music that I’ll have to remember to cancel.

We received this as an extra when we purchased our Ring video doorbell 3. Now, whenever someone comes to the door Alexa tells us "there's someone at the door." We are very pleased with it and all the other capabilities, like getting the current weather, etc.

I use this thing all the time LOL my kids love it too.

I wouldn't have bought this for myself, I got it free for buying a Ring camera. Right after I got it, I bought another one two days later. There isn't a whole lot Alexa can't do. I'm still learning all the ins and outs of it. Once you start using "her" you won't be able to stop
