The amazon echo is the basic requirement for the smart home. The devices offers a descent sound quality for the price, and its sleek appeal makes it blend into any room.

My parents are elderly and live in another state. I put the Echo Dots in their house and one linked to theirs in my house. Now I can talk to them anytime without having to call them and they can call me without having to pick up the phone. They can also use it to call 911 in an emergency.

Very useful device. It informs me of the weather and when my packages arrive. There are numerous uses.

While I'm giving this a 4-star rating for the sheer convenience it brings to my life, the Echo Dot does make my head spin sometimes. Crashes are way more frequent than I'd like and anybody who has used one for an extended period can attest to the fact that vocal recognition still has a ways to go. Still, it's cheap and can do a ton. It's much more useful if you have Prime, but it's still worthwhile without it.

Lots to do in such a small product. My family loves using “Alexa” for weather updates, jokes, trivia and music. We never thought we would like it as much as we do. Great sound too.

This is a great product. I use it more often than I thought I would. Makes me feel like I am living in the world of tomorrow. I use it to play music while I am cleaning. I play Jeopardy on it while getting ready for bed. I ask it random questions throughout the day. It is pretty awesome.

Bought this as a Xmas gift for my niece and both her and my nephews (whom seemed to have taken it over lol) love it!!

I wasn't sure about the echo dot, but finally broke down and tried one. Now the wife even uses it. Still learning various things with it and I really like it. Might even get another if I can justify it!

So far I like the device. I have a lot of smart home devices and so Far I’m impressed. if you’re expecting great audio quality this is not a device for you it’s simply a voice command device. so far no issues.

We have the very first Alexa tower and two first generation echos. We have an Echo Show as well. I love the look of this new third generation Echo. The speaker is louder and clearer.
