I would recommend the Echo Dots for any home Wi-Fi system.

The max volume is 10, so it's great for small spaces. If I'm correct, to get it started you need to link in to a phone or amazon account, which i did, but since I wasn't going to be the primary user, after setup, I unlinked and it continues to work just fine. You can have all kinds of fun with it.
