Was using a different smart assistant and have switched completely over to Amazon. Connection was easy and have been very pleased with its features.

The light ring on the top reacts differently than on the older ones but that is the only thing I've noticed different. I use these mainly for verbal home automation control.

Fun and easy gift

They were very hesitant as they don't have many tech devices but now they use it to make grocery lists, play music and tell jokes :) can't beat it for the people who have everything!

Great addition to smart home speaker system

I used this one to connect a 2.1 speaker system in my garage so I can use Alexa in the garage. I don't buy these for the sound quality alone. Don't get me wrong, the sound is fine, but connecting to a system is the way to go.

Bought It As A Gift

Best Buy had these on sale for $29, so we did go a little over the limit. But whoever ended up with the Echo Dot loved it. I can’t give a real review since I don’t have it, but they enjoy it. So that’s all that matters.
