Makes life very easy! Turns on my lights, plays my music. Very happy with this purchase.

Love the Echo Dot. Take the time to play with it. It makes life easier! Turns our lights on and off automatically, plays music, keeps track of grocery and to-do lists. No more forgetting to write something down that we need at the store or to do. Everything is synced to the app on my phone so my grocery list is with me when I’m at the store. It also alerts me when someone is at my door (Ring doorbell). The Ring Chime never worked correctly and now I have Alexa announcing “there’s someone at the door”. Much nicer!

This was a free dot I received with another purchase. Already having some of these there were no surprises. Reasonable audio quality for the size, but mostly I have upgraded to the bigger units to get even better audio quality.

loved it so i purchased one for my girlfriend for Christmas and she has enjoyed it. great sale price also, so I purchased one for my sister who has cancer and it has been a blessing to her. just makes her life a little easier

We use this to turn our sons lamp off and on in his room. He loves it. Good for music and some fun apps out there as well. Better sound than previous generations.

I had high hopes for the 3rd Gen Echo dot. I put mine in my Master bedroom, behind a table lamp (That is what I did with my previous echo dot (2nd Gen) and the Google home mini). I assumed this will work fine. But most times, the echo dot will not even respond. Either the mics on these are very low sensitivity or not enough. Now I have to keep the echo dot in line of sight to have any reasonable response. Even then I see 1 out of 5 wake words being ignored. Also, when there is a song or audio already playing on the echo, the wake word response is very low probability unless you are really loud. The sound was extremely muffled with high bass and much lower treble settings. This meant every time Alexa managed to respond to me, I had trouble making out the speech and tell her "I did not understand that" :). But those audio changes make the echo an awesome music playback device. There seems to be some form of software auto volume leveling going on, that is very unreliable. There were random change in the volume which was annoying at times. My biggest problem with the 3rd gen Echo dot was its lack of consistency with recognizing what I said. Most command recognition was almost a roll of dice. But the major reason I returned the echo dot, was the power supply design. This was bad design. Amazon decided to make their power adapter a non standard connector. This meant I cant use the tons of USB output power regulators, I have lying around in my house. Also in the age of USB type C, Amazon went a step back on their design. The reason maybe for them to avoid the use of non standard power supplies. But then that is a design flaw that they cant limit current drawn. The software app interface and set up was also a cumbersome process. This has been my qualm about amazon in general compared to their competition who seems to be picking up very fast.

Making my dumb home smarter has been nice. Super easy to setup. Highly recommend.

The Amazon echo dot is just a smaller version of the regular echo which I prefer!

Got for my daughter bday for the clock but she like listen to the music it not over loud it prefect n I can always set the alarm for school by voice simple

Awesome little gadget, love to use it as an alarm, I can turn my tv on and off with it.

I have multiple units in different rooms and this works seamlessly with my other smart home products.

Love all my echo’s got this for work for our massage room so we didn’t need to have a radio and drown out any sounds from the rear of the salon. Bought another to keep in the front of the salon to use for music and have fun with,

The Amazon Dot is my favorite thing now in my Kitchen! I can ask Alexa to play music, check the weather, check the news, read me a book etc. All this while I make breakfast! I don’t know why it took me this long to get one! It’s really great!

Small device with great features, it supports most of the features as the regular device

Got my first Echo device free with a Ring doorbell. Was using a different smart assistant and have switched completely over to Amazon. Connection was easy and have been very pleased with its features.

Still getting used to this technology, it seems to work good although I only use it for music.
