It hears you in a normal speaking tone. I like to use it as a whole home speaker system. Granted its not the best quality sound but sound nonetheless. Works great.

Already having some of these there were no surprises. Reasonable audio quality for the size, but mostly I have upgraded to the bigger units to get even better audio quality.

Fun Little Dot!

I love when I say Alexa Good Morning and it tells me interesting facts about the day in history. I asked it to play a local radio station and it came right on!
