I have tried the 3rd and the 4th Gen dots. These are still a good deal (especially on sale or as a bonus gift for a Best Buy or AMZ purchase. The kids love asking "Alexa" random questions, and sometimes her responses are entertaining for adults. I more appreciate using these as little music devices in random places in the house.

It the price was so reasonable and we use it everyday. I make store lis ton my echo, recipes , dance in my kitchen with my kids. It is the most helpful speaker you will find. I also check the weather everyday before leaving my home.

Nice Freebie

Note this is the 3rd gen not the 4th gen with the dome shape. But even with that you are not missing much functionality, sound quality is the same, this model has a more compact design, you have the same Alexa features available to you on the 4th generation

Funnier than Google Home Mini
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wouldn’t have bought this since I previously received a Google Home Mini as a Xmas gift but I received this as a free add-on item when I purchased my Ring alarm. For me both the Mini & this Dot do pretty much the exact same thing except for 2 things. 1, I can activate/disactivate my Ring alarm through this Dot. I believe they are both technically owned by Amazon so it makes sense they work together & not the Google Home Mini & #2, when you ask them to tell a joke, Alexa is funnier than Google.

Great Product for Background Noise

After constant loud music, a vibration can be heard when listening closely, but when you’re in the shower, what’s it matter? Haha
