Easy to set up, sound quality is way better than the older generation. Love the color options.

I've owned multiple smart speakers in the past including the Google home mini and the previous versions of the dot. I can say for a fact that this third generation echo dot has definitely gotten better in terms of voice recognition and sound quality. With the first and second generation versions of this product, I had to tell to triiger the Alexa voice assistant when I was far from the speaker. However, now that is no longer the case.

Excellent sound and very easy to use. It is resourceful for different use.

My second echo dot. This one is 3rd generation and has nicer look and much better sound then my other Echo Dot.

The Echo Dot is a great addition to the Alexa family. The Dot seemingly can do whatever its big brother, the Echo, can do. I use the Echo for my primary Alexa device with four Dots scattered throughout the house. To me, the only difference might be in the quality of sound from the speaker. The Dot will give you easy access to music, information, and weather simply by asking Alexa. Every Friday Amazon sends an email “Whst’s New With Alexa”. It is always evolving

I got this third generation Echo Dot free with a purchase of a smart thermostat this holiday season. The Dot works great with all of my "smart" appliances and the sound is noticeably better than the first generation dot.

Works great. Love that I can play music on it and not have to use my phone or a radio. Easy to set up and use.
