I received my first Echo Dot as a "Gift with Purchase", I never realized how much I would use it! I now have 2, I also got one for my mother and one for my son at college! I love being able to set reminders especially for my Mother who is getting older and sometimes needs help remembering appointments! This is more helpful than a calendar for her!

Everyone should have Alexa as a friend lol…if you don’t what are you waiting for go out and purchase her. She responds to every question and command. The only con is she don’t play a movie on command so I have to use the remote. She only looks up the movie you request successfully. She also gets confused and plays Amazon music when I ask her to play a movie but what can you expect she is a robot

I love the idea of talking out loud and getting immediate rsults, cant get much of that these days because people dont listen or understand you! I have not yet used the product due to us building an accent wall for the new tv, but i will update my review as soon as i know how the product is functioning

Purchased this for one of my teens and he loves it. He doesn’t care to much about smart devices but he barely started to get around to use it and so far so good. You can connect it other smart devices and use it to make calls even when your phone is lost, stolen , or shut off. Pretty cool!

Its small and cute that you can place it anywhere. Like the feature of controlling compatible devices without having to manually do anything!

This is my 3rd Dot, my 5th Echo counting the Spot and the FireTV. This one has a much improved, very sensitive microphone, one that I don't have to speak to twice to wake it up. The built-in case is also a great add-on. My continuing complaint about Echo in general is that it doesn't know much. Great for scores, schedules, local weather, current news, connections to to-do & shopping lists and calendars. But ask it for information about something complex, and I find it usually fails - "Hmm. I don't know that." No comparison to Siri or, especially, the best of the bunch, Okay Google.

Love the speaker & all the different things you can do with it. I got the device on a lack Friday special price. Even though Amazon didn't have any in stock, Best Buy honored the price & even threw in a smart lightbulb. Also took full advantage of the onsite pick up of the speaker. Very very nice feature at the stores.

I love that I can play music, turn on and off lights and even set up alarms or reminders...all by just using my voice! It’s like having your own personal assistant!

With a mixture of Echo Dot, Show and Echo devices in different rooms we have the ability to verbally control smart home devices from anywhere in the house. The ability to listen music across all devices is also one of the main features we use. After that we like just asking Alexa ridiculous questions just to see what kind of response we get. Love and enjoy this product!
