Cannot say enough how perfectly simple Amazon has made this unit, and their entire platform. This is a great addition to our smart home that allows me to control the entertainment center in our media room. Do yourself a favor and watch for a frequent sale price: I paid $30 vs. the normal $50

Amazon Echo is a great addition to any home. This one doesn't have a clock, but you can just ask Alexa what time it is. We have this in my son's room and set up cool alarm routines for school mornings. Pair it with a wifi light bulb and you can set the tone for the day off right.

Excellent Alexa works like expected and easy to use

I added this echo to my Sunroom to enhance my usage. Helps guests to utilize Alexa throughout my home. I recommend these as a way to expand your Alexa network usage.

ALEXA IS A FUN AND KNOWLEDGEABLE COMPANION WHICH NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME. YOU CAN ASK HER NEARLY ANYTHING AND IT WILL GIVE YOU THE CORRECT RESPONSE. I USE HER AS AN ALARM, TIMER, STREAMER, ETC. YOU CAN HOOK UP EXTERNAL SPEAKERS FOR AN ACCEPTABLE MUSIC SYSTEM WITH OUTLETS IN MULTIPLE ROOMS.

The echo lives up to its reputation. It allows easy access to home entertainment. There are many more features that I need to explore. Surprisingly, the volume and responsiveness are very good.

Handy to have all over the house. Customize which lights turn on/off/adjusted based on what echo you say “light on” or other commands to. Inexpensive way to automate and customize smart home.

Alexa is the most handy device I've ever owned. With the ease of home automation now, not having a device, like an Echo Dot, seems downright nutty to me. Want to hear NPR news? Just ask, want to dim the light? Go for it. With a decent wifi connection, the Echo Dot is a tank.

When we received the Echo Dot as a present, we had no idea what it was. After fooling around with it, we were just overcome with all the stuff it does. We are not technical people, but this thing is really easy to use. And when I told it "good night" last night, Alexa told me, "Good night, Sweet dreams. How cool is that?

and my echo dot connects to everything in my home. From my Eccobe thermostats to my lighting I can control it all thru my voice or an app.

This is my 5th echo device for the house; one more room covered. Not only does it play music and give you quick info about questions you may have but you can also "drop in" on another echo for one on one conversation or "make an announcement" for the whole house. Learning more every day.

I have just owned this 3rd generation Echo dot in less than a month but, believe me, it's been so useful. Just ask it anything; weather, music, event dates what's in the news,tuning to my favorite radio station and all that without needing to walk around, it's been very helpful and made life easier.

Takes time getting used to exactly how Alexa responds to your requests. It is very easy to learn it's just a lot of different things she can do. Love listening to music on it. No need to spend money on a bigger one as only the speaker have better sound. If that's your thing then go for it. Still amazed at all it can do.

Amazon is stepping up their game in home automation and it begins with the Echo line of products. The Echo Dot fits anywhere in your house and is hardly noticeable. It is the hub that will connect almost any of your smart home devices. I also gave one to my mom for Christmas. She has found it easy to use and helpful.

I was really satisfied with my purchase.When i buy anything online i always read the 1 star reviews and determine if i want to buy the item but this is the one item ignored the reveiws because a friend of mine reconmended it. Volume is great and it is easy to travel with.
